Ok, how would you go about getting an idea going.

INTERNET MARKETING

I have this increditsble idea for a website. I am sorry I do not want to give to much information away on it. But it will require alot of programing and hosting.

Would you contact a large company that is in the business and has the resources to get this off the ground. And would you have a non-disclosure agreement signed and i would know to get my attorney involved for all the legal stuff.

I would love for this take off and I know it will fly.

So, any Ideas on what you would do if you had a mount everest to climb so to speak.

You probably won't have very much luck contacting a big company and getting funding. I suggest getting busy! Find a good coder who can work for cheap or is willing to take a share in your venture, and do what you can. You have to start somewhere and if you ever do go to make a pitch to some big companies you'll be in much better shape if you have a complete 'mini-version' of whatever kinda site you're thinking of. Then they could see all they'd have to do is add users (advertise) and scale up on the hosting. If you are already profitable doign this on a small scale it's a pretty easy sell to investors

But YES, you have to start somewhere... I agree, get off your ass!

First I hope your friend gets better each day!

As for your idea. You were right to not give away details. If you have an attorney friend to copyright information it is a great help. For now use a system authors due that is a form of copyrighting. Take your full idea and put it on paper. It can be handwritten or printed from the internet. Print 2 copies. The first one send to yourself registered mail from the Post Office. The second copy keep in a safe place.

As you send out feelers if you get any bites please make sure that a non-disclosure is signed and they are aware it is copyrighted. Investigate any person or corporation as best you can before they receive any form of information.

Even though you think you can trust family and friends, sometimes a big mouth can cost a lot of lost cash.

  appsrus, thanks for pointing out that a mini-site would help. I would need to find a programmer to help me on that, any ideas on a trustworthy programmer?
