Hi - Great question. Depends if your passing is sudden. If so, I suspect that a lot of the business would slowly die, as most of us keep a lot of in our heads. If you had time to plan, then train and leave to a loved one, or sell and leave proceeds to loved one or worthy cause. My 2c worth. All the best, Allen

My business and assets are arranged to pass to my Fiancee right now.. with a percentage share for my daughter (assuming we don't have more children), the percentage share will increase in 1% increments until my daughter is 20 years, at which point she will have the majority.

But you ain't gettin' rid of me that easily I'm here to haunt y'all for a long time yet...

mruhahahahaha

Peace

Jay

Well my single aim in life is to hear the words 'Well Done Good and Faithful Servant'

What happens with stuff this side of the fence does require attention but as someone VERY famous once said What good is it for a man to gain the whole world but lose his soul.

I'd try to sell it and then either spend or pass on the cash.

This is nothing in our hands. Death will come sudden even in next second, we can't do any planning instantly. But you know that we all will die one day, so i make some plans like train someone to look after my online business, that may be my wife or children or even my close friends.

I would sell it and invest the proceeds in acting out my "bucket list"

(Funny you bring the subject up, I just watched the movie a couple of days ago)

I'm a Buddhist.According to Buddhism You have another life after death. It's true.Unless you attain Nirvana in this life[It's very very very hard to achieve] ,you will born in next soul according to the good/bad things you did.

So do some good works ,donate for charity,Be good unless you will burn your soul in hell ..may be for ages...

Sorry to disappoint you but there is no 'suppose' about it. You are going to pass away.
If you have sufficient notice of when that passing will be you can do anything you like with your business, sell it, give it away, close it down and so on. If that is your position, bear in mind that if your doctor tells you that you will die in six months he is not saying that you will definitely be dead in six months time nor is he guaranteeing that you won't die within the next six months - you could be killed by a falling roof tile as you leave his office!

Your business is one of the assets that you should be making forward planning for either in the form of a will or the creation of a management trust to be activated upon your demise.

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.
Build it, make money, then build some more
Some old school smarts would help - and here's to Rob Toth for his help. Bloody good stuff, even the freebies!

I'll cover it in dodgy porn, spam and viagra buttons and banners, with as many flashy links, popups and annoying bits and pieces as possible.

Don't have a reputation to lose eh?

The entire business is in my girlfriend / life partner's name....for which i began this all in the first place. She has a form of "macular degeneration" which effects her sight an will eventually cause blindness...anyways...she can't drive or work a normal type job, so i set her up online. She is involved every step of the way, so she will be well versed when that time comes....which unfortunately for me was almost as early as last week...lol
I woke on 1/28 with chest pains, not serveer but none the less....went to the emergncy room and was amitted imediately...spent 4 days in the hospital, doctor said i suffer a mild heart attack....gave me 2 stents...makes you think!! I'm glad i have things arranged the way I do...the things that run through your mind while laying in a hospital....lol at least i know that she will be cared for when my time comes...
