How to find a JV partner for UK eBay?
Warriors I would really appreciate your input on this one.
I know there are a lot of people out there who would like to trade on eBay, but are unable to find a supplier who can supply them with profitable products. The fact is to find product lines takes knowledge, connections, and work and therefore it's not so simple as people first think (which leads to the frustration!).
This is not so much of a problem to me. Firstly, I have a background in Procurement. Secondly, for a while, using my sourcing and negotiation skills, and ability to structure deals, I traded on eBay and proved my ability to sell to my suppliers. Because of this, I periodically get contacted and asked if I would be interested in selling various products.
This was back when I worked locally. A few career moves later I now commute and don't have the time to process orders. Anyone who's ever traded on eBay part time will know what I'm taking about here - there isn't a lot of time in the evenings! This is
especially true with me, because of the careeer and also becuase I'm learning/being trained in various aspects of Internet Marketing. I'm not completely satisfied with the "Corporate World", and, at some point I will run my own business. At the moment however,
the situation is what the situation is.
The trouble is, I feel like I have an entire skillset and goldmine, just "gathering dust". I have approached a few friends to see if they would be interested in doing something with me but I'm sure Warriors will agree with me here - the average person just doesn't have the motivation to increase their income or acheive goals. It's actually suprising, because I'm basically handing a solution to an age old challenge (making money on eBay) on a plate! I pointed out that I would finance the whole thing (so no risk at all for the partner), and create all the graphics and ads (which convert). All they have to do is process the orders!
Now, I'm not going to lose too much sleep over this because I need to concentrate my energies on other stuff that I am working on at the moment, but .....

I thought about actually advertising locally for someone, or maybe investigating the possibility of warehousing and fulfillment companies?
