I want to generate more traffic without spending thousands as I have done in the past with Google ad words. I paid someone to do a seo package but not sure if it was actually done because I have not generated any new traffic

    What did that package include?
You're not likely to see a lot of results from just one package/blast/seo effort... You have to start building backlinks with consistency.

It also depends how long its been since the package was completed. And how big it was. Depending on those things you might not see results instantly.

    Did you mean
    Mobile Car Wash-Mobile Detail-Auto Wash-Detailing-Houston, TX

There's a rogue i in your URL if you did. Shame im not in Houston, id bring the Lambo over for a clean :-)

Are you familiar with Twitter and Facebook marketing. It seems your business would benefit from social networking because you are in the type of service that provides opportunities for word of mouth marketing.

You should get yourself a Facebook Page....thats a company page NOT a profile page and you should get the twitter and FB share buttons all over your site and you should maximise the use of them, even sending emails, texts or tweets to past customers to remind them you exist and to get them to tell their people about about you too.

If you have the FB app on your phone, even get your customers to "LIKE" you as they pay you. This will be free traffic.

Secondly, i'd ditch adwords. You're just making Google money. FB ads would probably work for you as i believe their demographic targeting is much better than Google's.

    Hope that helps

You didn't spell your URL properly but I figured it out... It actually looks like a pretty sweet business, and I'm guessing with good weather year-round you'll probably do well.

With that said, you should be able to generate quite a bit of traffic to a local business like this with nothing more than some really high-quality back links. You don't have to spend thousands, grab Paul and Angelas quality back link packages and build a few high PR links per day yourself, obviously using the appropriate keywords for your business.

Also, check out some of the .edu and .gov back link packages in the WSO section, there are a ton of people offering these links and they'll do wonders for a local business that I'm guessing probably doesn't have competition will killer SEO going on (although that's just my own speculation).

I've found these to be adequate to bring a website to the top of google in niches that aren't super competitive.

    Hope that helps!

This is what I was told

      Wlad,

Here's what I can do for you:

Beef up your SEO -- $350:
      - unique page titles & descriptions, keywords for each page
      - adding more descriptive H1 tags (Google places a huge weight on this)
      - create/review/manage Google XML sitemap, submitting to Google
      - adding Google Analytics -- this will let you see which of your pages are most frequently viewed so you can emphasize those, what keywords people are using to search so you can add them to your pages, give you an overview of traffic over time, and much more

      This was implemented on 7/20/11

This is just an optimization of your website. You have to do much more work to get your site up in Google. This is just the basics every single website need to have. No surprise you see no traffic coming from search engines.

If you don't want to lear about offsite SEO, than I would suggest you to use social networks to drive traffic to your website. If done correctly it's faster and with good results.

That'll do little for your positioning in google, unless you got any backlinking done or any other offsite optimization. Did you do any other work with the website?

All that package did was do more technical things. To be honest $350 is a bit too much if thats all you got.

Try to get some offsite optimization done if you haven't already.

This is speaking for just google traffic, sorry I can't help with social media part!

Is this your own business or are you working for someone? I'd highly suggest you make this website yours so there's no sudden surprises one day.

        Good luck!

Do you have a list? Doing Swaps will get you some subscribers. Don't become overwhelmed by all the traffic generation methods out there. Select three methods to begin with. See which one works the best for you in your niche. If one is not paying off, add in a different method. Until you find the three you are making good on.

    Good Luck

Try to find a traffic method that you like and focus only on that method,
until you're ready to move on to another one of course.

my advice to all newbies would be to LEARN a lot. In later stages u can decide which niche u want to go into.. but initially do lot of research and digest as much information u can.. Don't overload though.. Good luck and enjoy learning..

My advice is to learn how to do SEO yourself, then outsource it.

You might like to read my free article on SEO . . .

Which will be a good start. You can outsource all the work on oDesk, after you have tested it and understand what works, for yourself. No point in doing more of what doesn't work
