Even simple squidoo pages make sales...

One of my affiliates stuck this page up about 2 years ago and gets 1-2 sales per month from it alone.

Compulsive Lying - Are we all compulsive liars? How can you stop being a compulsive liar?

OK, so you may not think this is great, but look at how simple the page is... Couldn't have took him more than an hour to create! Not bad as it pays him $37-$74 per month in commissions.

Just image what you could do if you created 100 of these in the next month??? If they were promoting a product with even just $30 commission that could be $3000 per month. Even if they did half as good as my affiliate, that would still net you $1500 a month. So how long would it take you to make 100 Squidoo pages?

Well... If they took and hour each to make and you worked 5 days a week for 5 hours for the next month you would have them all completed. If you work 7 days a week then you could have them all up in 3 weeks.

Alternatively you could do the first 5 yourself and they outsource the rest with the profits you make.

Why not test 1 or 2 and see how it goes?

If this post does its job and inspires you to create some new squidoo lenses, please post them in this thread so that I can rate them for you and leave you comments of your new pages...

Maybe some of the warriors will do the same to help give you a boost at Squidoo...

That's great, I like the idea.

Can I ask what the traffic has to be for that? I see compulsive lying gets about 3,600 searches/month, but that lens is on the second page of results. Is your affiliate promoting it through other means, or is his share of the organic enough for 1-2 sales a month?

Thanks for this post. I just visited the lens you linked to as well as one other lens about compulsive lying and they were both very simple indeed. I had no idea compulsive lying was a viable market.

Less than 300K results on Google for compulsive lying and the other lens I visited was near the bottom of Page 3...thanks for revealing a nice niche!

I smell an opportunity

Squidoo Tips: Keep the keyword density for the product name between 2.8 and 4.0 in your text. 99% of the Squidoo lenses that have front page Google rankings in any niche have KWDs within these parameters.

Google will select the very first sentence or two in your lens to show in its organic listings. So? Make sure your first line pulls readers in to want more info! Exception: If your keyword does not appear in your first paragraph (it should) Google will go the the first paragraph in which your keyword appears and take the first sentence from that paragraph to show in your listing. Don't believe me? Check it out on your own!

Oh, I forgot. If you are using a Squidoo lens, you are wasting your time if you promote a product, no matter how good it is, if that product has been around a while. Look for upcoming product launches and get a lens up BEFORE the launch date. You will get more traffic to your lens the first ten days following the product launch than you will get the remainder of the year!

If you can add 2-3 lenses which are for new product launches each week (that's not hard to do) you can make some good money. Yes!

There's been some good tips in this thread.

I get about two or three sales a week on one of my flagship products.
It's not cheep @ $97, and the page was simply put there so I had a
central place for a forum profile. If I visit a new forum, and I join or
introduce myself, I point to that lens, rather than spew out the same
old stuff. I tend to join a new forum once every four or five months.

I am planning one having a couple of lenses for each of my products,
each page concentrating on a specific aspect of my products, and
after doing keyword research to make sure I target the right market.

Good point. Consider your lens title to be the header/title of your Google
listing, and your description or first paragraph to be a classified ad. Who
needs Adwords if you can nail this bit right and get a good ranking.

I get 0-4 hits a day from the that lense so his conv is very high...

It such that there is so much fraud going on with Clickbank. For 8 months straight my one product converted at 14%. Then the next it didnt convert at all for 5 or 6 months. What the hell is going on with Clickbank?

A great suggestion! Would agree that squidoo offers a great free service that can be monopolized to create a profitable lens with the techniques you mention. I think it largely has to do with your targeted niche as well, to generate a continual interest in you lens page. Just googled your market choice and found that there was virtually no competition in search engine rankings, would never have seen that in google trends either! Thanks for revealing a new and profitable niche!

Believe it or not, I use exactly same method and it give me some nice pocket money for my future (I still in College). Right now, I have 3 lens that make money that way. First, the lens is looks really ugly, just like your affiliate lens. But once the lens give me money, I tweak them up, give some backlinks and update them at least once a month. So till now they constantly give me sales every month, maybe every week (but not everyday). There is a lens that will give $75 for a single sale, and now I'm doing research to add another lens!
