I've done mechanical turks (buy clicks)
I've done VPN server and macros
I've done a little bit of twitter

    Sorry that wasn't clear i was typing like a mad man when i wrote it

    Has anyone managed to manipulate Google auto suggest to a certain key term?

    I just took on a job at a new company and we are trying to move auto suggest terms above the 'scam' term which sits at 2nd place.

    has anyone managed to do this using conventional methods which doesn't involved me having 100,000 twitter followers?

      From what I understand, Google's auto suggest lists related keywords in order from most searched to least searched.

      So if you search for 'Company XYZ' and auto suggest shows the following...

      Company XZY
      Company XYZ Scam
      Company XYZ Products

      ... it means that more people are searching for the term "Company XYZ Scam" than "Company XYZ Products".

      Not good, if you own Company XYZ!

      Don't think there's much that can be done about it, other than the company doing whatever they can to try to boost the general public's perception of them over time.

    Manipulating "Suggest" is fairly new ground. I would recommend targeting the "Company XYZ Scam" keyword with a page/several pages of your own.

    A keyword with "Scam" on the end is likely to have very low competition (unless it is a targeted term by affiliates). You should be able to fill the top of the first page up with different web properties all targeting the same term.

    Your time and effort spent doing this would almost certainly go some way to tackling the problem, whereas trying to manipulate the auto suggest might end up being a total waste of resources.

    the auto search is indeed based on aggregate of the monthly and global searches related to your query.
    Just do Your normal stuff [SEO, social media, backlinking]. Who knows while optimizing foo "snacks", people who are searching for "snakes" might Visit your website xoxoxox!!
