Do you consider yourself as a newbie?

A slightly modified format of this question would be, "do you consider yourself as an expert?"

In my opinion I don't consider myself as an expert at anything. But doesn't that mean I am 'jack-of-all-trades?"

No. I am not a non-expert at all things either.

Do you consider yourself as an expert or a newbie?

I am a non-newbie still and always learning and willing to learn

Looking for some opinions...

Hi, I don't consider myself an expert but I don't think of myself as a Newbie either. I know more about certain aspects of Internet marketing than others and I'm sure you would be hard pressed to find anyone who knows all there is to know about the subject. I'm sure there are probably people out there who think they know it all but realistically I think that's impossible because there are so many different aspects and topics related to the subject that you would never be able to take it all in and know all there is to know.

Nowhere near expert status and I'm slightly above a newbie.

I don't think there are many people I would call "IM experts". There simply isn't enough time in the day to know all there is to know about every variant of internet marketing.

However, I would consider myself "expert" in a number of areas. Compared to 95% of small business owners, I'll know a bucket-load more than them about SEO, for example. A friend recently put out a plea for any marketing experts to help them with a not-for-profit project. I responded, saying I could most likely help with a number of things.

I still know everything there is to know, and my knowledge is still totally dwarfed by the knowledge of others, and by the collective knowledge of the forum.

I learn something new almost every single day that I spend working!

It's all relative - just because you feel dwarfed by the knowledge of SOME, doesn't mean you haven't accrued wisdom and knowledge enough to offer advice to, and be considered an expert by others.

    Regards

I've found that whenever my knowledge in a particular subject increases, so too does my awareness of just how much knowledge I don't have. So I always feel like a newbie, even when I've been doing something for years.

Of course, I'm still generally far more experienced and capable than someone who just started learning that subject yesterday. But that doesn't stop me from feeling like I know just about half past squat on the subject. :p

Your answer just reminded me of a song Calaban...

"There are more questions than answers, and the more I find out the less I know"

The singer was Johnny Nash I think.

Another thing to think about OP is...Is there such a thing as an expert newbie

I would say that i'm an internet marketing expert. I've been doing this for a long time now and have almost to the end of the internet and back many times. This is just my opinion anyway.
