When I am logged into Gmail and visit the Google page i always get some extension at the end of URL. It is always different and it goes something like this.

?oei=PnkzT-2TJYja8QPt7aX_AQ

The?oei= always stay the same but the bit after changes whenever I visit Google. Is this a tracking thing that Google have started? Does anyone else have it?

The only thing I have changed recently is to let all ads come through as opposed to show by preference.

interesting and good observation, I see something similar but it starts with fp=
maybe it has something to do with session tracking. are you using chrome?

No it was in Firefox then after running virus software, tons of it, it found nothing, so deleted Firefox and installed IE8 and its in there too.

Its fine when I am logged out of Gmail so just wondering if its some sort of tracking from Google to see what I search on.

Surely there must be some way to switch it off?

Defo thinking its a tracking thing with G and me. Browser makes no difference. Had it on IE8, Firefox and now Chrome, all the same.

Had my bro log in to his Gmail on his PC and fine, had him log into mine on his PC and got the crap at the end.

So its not a PC thing, not a browser issue, so must be a G issue with me.

Is there no actual Google help desk? All they do is direct me to the help forums which are about as useful as tits to a fish
