There Are Only Two Kinds Of Links...

1. Links that people want to click and follow; and

2. Links that exist solely for the purpose of taking up real estate space on a web page.

Which of the two do you believe would be better for your business?

I believe that the second kind is worth about "a dime a dozen"...

And the first can be worth "its weight in gold"!!!

I'd say both! the latter might not have the same direct effect as the first one, but indirectly it defiantly increase the value of your website in search engines and helps to drive organic traffic on a long term which is equally important

Dime a dozen? Sold! 1 dozen links* can be yours for only a dime!

10 dozen links*, that's 120 worthless links* for only a dollar!

Want to really ramp up your incoming link* count? Today only special 150,000 links* for $1,000.

[TERMS: All links will be available for 1 month, will be removed if not re-purchased at the end of the month at the same special price. All links will originate from a single page. All links will be anchored to your single long tailed keyword phrase. All links are NOFOLLOW tagged]

$1,000 gets you 150,000 links* for a month! What a deal!

*Do Follow links available at $0.01 each all other terms remain the same.

It's amazing to me how many people will actually buy links with no clue where they will be coming from or anything else about them. And some people pay entirely too much for these kind of links.

At least in my (hopefully humorous) terms above, I made it clear how worthless the links in my (joking) offer above are.

I opt for both, since there is enough space to take in the web real estate.

How 'bout a 3rd kind? The links that are there because the owner of the site believes that they are genuinely helpful/interesting to his visitors (unlike the bought, exchanged, and "3-way" links that exist only to cheat the system).

Especially now that Google admits to putting more of an emphasis on relevant links, the ones that are just taking up space are even more useless than they were 6 months ago!

    MIX of it.

At least, it will be more "natural" in google's eyes.

I ought to be happy for all my competitors to imagine so, I know, but to be honest it kind of scares me a little that people can actually believe this.

Of course the first type of link is ideal; the one that people actually want to click on. If you want to rank, and of course you do, remember the mantra though...relevance, relevance, relevance.

Link that doesn't bring you traffic is worthless in the long run.
