Best place to sell established UK ecommerce site

Hi,
I'm new to this forum, but thought I'd dive right in to ask some advice.

I operate 2 ecommerce sites selling kitchens to UK customers. Both receive regular, though not huge amounts of traffic - Alexa rank of about 1,400,000 last time I checked.

I also operate a third kitchen related site which offers a free downloadable kitchen planning guide, plus 7 part installation guide by email (about 500 or so on Aweber list for this now). The guide has links in it which drive traffic to one of the sites (which also receives some affiliate traffic from Clixgalore & eBay).

For various reasons (nothing to do with profitability) I'd like to sell the complete set-up as a going concern - probably to an individual or business within the UK kitchen industry. Can anyone tell me how I would value a non 'bricks and mortar' business like this and the best place and method to market it?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Sorry I don't have answers to your specific questions but as general advice I would recommend you hold onto the sites for the time being, if possible. Kitchens and other home improvement are suffering in the current economic climate and that's going to seriously downgrade your sales prospects.

Of course you already know this (which is probably why you're selling ) but it's still good advice. You'd be much better off to sell at the start of an upswing. It can be difficult to hold on to a bricks and mortar business but websites have low overhead. You could even continue improving the websites for a better eventual sale.
