Hi Friends,

My hosting account contract just got over and they seem to increase their price.

Do you have any better recommendation for a good reliable hosting with an economic payment plan with unlimited domain names to host and unlimited disk space and bandwidth.

Looking forward to hear back from you warriors

Thanks in advanace..

If you use the search on this forum for "hosting" as a keyword you'll find tons of recommendations. The great majority seem to be for Hostgator but others are also discussed.

From my experience, webhostingpad.com is very nice one to go for. Their hosting plan is very much cheap than any other hosting companies If you use coupon (15off) - 3.67$ / month. And they have 24/7 live chat for any help.

Some features are unlimited space, domains, sub domain, emails, ftp accounts, sql database, web mail, cpanel, email autoresponders etc...

I also use hostgator...and..it bills monthly versus yearly on many hosting companies. Another one that I use..actually my first host..was namecheap..6.95 a month..and..they also bill monthly. Both have been good..I would recommend either.

There is really no such thing as "unlimited" disk space and bandwidth. If you actually start hogging server resources, you'll get booted from your shared server.

The reason hosting companies get away with advertising "unlimited" resources is because it is rare that anyone actually exceeds the 'limits' the company has in mind. In fact, most IMers who are just starting out could get along fine with 50MB storage and 100-200MB of bandwidth as long as they're not loading up with a lot of video, audio or graphics.

As for unlimited domains, how many domain names can you afford and actually use? Most cPanel type hosting accounts will let you have unlimited subdomains and at least 20, if not unlimited 'add-on' domains. That's plenty for most people.

Right, the "unlimited" thingy is just marketing. This doesn't mean that all companies using that term are *bad* - it just means that the competition is so cut-throat that companies feel they have to use such hyperbolic language.

And, yes I use HostGator myself and it works fine for me. I need to have many sites on my account and they support that without problems, plus things are set up to work smoothly.

There are other very good hosts also, I have reviewed a few on a site I have (see "ugly truth").
It all depends on your specific needs and preferences.

I've used Hostgator for a year now. I still have some sites on YaHoo web hosting but its more expensive and the analytics can't come close to what you get on Hostgator. I have no complaints with HG. I too have called for support a couple times and they stayed with me until I got my issue straightened out.
