Getting massive amazon clicks! HOW?

For the past 2 months iv been getting 10-30 clicks a day and no conversions of course. but its really weird because yesterday I got 605 clicks and its still going up. I have no idea how this is possible because I checked all of my websites statistics and they are not pulling close to that much traffic.. is this a glitch, or does anyone els have any other ideas? Thanks a lot

    That sounds weird. Did you at all manage to share the links on a social network and it go viral somehow?

    or do you keep visiting your affiliate links yourself (I highly doubt that you can do it so many times)

      I posted a couple of links on Facebook. but only with like 50 fans. That was a very long time ago though. I click on my own links every time I setup a website (just once or twice though) not 600+ times lol. any other ideas? Thanks for the imput.

    Send an email to Amazon support. Sounds like a glitch to me. With that many clicks in such a short period of time. Especially if you're only used to getting ten or so on average. Something is going on and you may want to ask for their help before you get slapped for something you didn't do.

      Thanks for the info, I thought of contacting them but I am going to wait a couple of days and see if this continues at the same rate, who knows it might just be a 1 day thing. we shall see. Thanks

        That's probably your best immediate course of action, Michael. No point in knee-jerk reactions which may just end up wasting your time. Waiting a few days to see if it keeps happening shouldn't exacerbate the problem, if there is one.

    If you use pretty links lite it will tell you the number of times someone has actually clicked your links. This number should match fairly close to the number of clicks that show up on amazon.

    Is these clicks are from images? I faced this problem last year. There was sudden increase in clicks which were from some images. Actually it was virus attack on my wp files.
