Monetizing and bringing more traffic to my site

Hi Guys,

I am a Programmer / IM (strong side is programming still a newbie when it comes to IM).
My site that is in my signature gets about 30-50 views a day and that is mostly from search engine traffic. I do have a facebook page and a twitter account for it.

What are some other ways to bring more traffic to it?

Also what ways are there to monetize it without being too overwhelming because I do want it to be a service first.

    FYI Your signature is not showing.

    Does your site have adsense on it ? If not you can start with Adsense. To bring more traffic you can try Adwords, building backlinks

    If I were you I'd join gaming forums/programming forums and start making posts and being an active member as that will attract quite a lot of targeted traffic.

    Aside, I'd also create a fan page and go about lurking in the shadows of facebook PPC. Not big time but atleast for a worthwhile.

      I've heard (but not tried it myself yet) that solo ads can bring you a lot of targeted traffic very quickly. It does cost a bit, but it may be worth checking out. The Directory of Ezines (DOE) seems a good place to start your research. Good luck!
