Flip or Hold onto these websites ? (EU cookie law related)

I have 2 websites focusing on the UK market - Each one doing very well, growing in traffic and making sales on Amazon affiliate products. My main concern is the future however, with the ridiculous EU cookie law banning affiliate cookies im sure its going to cause heart ache and head aches in the not to distant future.

Should I flip the websites or keep them ? I am going to be ignoring the EU legislation on a lot of my sites but the problem is Amazon is sure to change the affiliate game and I don't want to risk a lower sales rate or the problems of including links so people "accept my affiliate cookies". It would simply be a waste of time.

The sites are turning over anywhere between $75 and $100 per month.

Anyone got input on this ?

    I would keep them mate.

I am in the same position. I have a couple of UK centric sites running adsense and amazon. I need anayltics for adsense campaigns or I am driving blind.

I am going to see what happens before I make any major moves.

Also I have heard that they way the law will work is they first notify you and then you have to comply. How are they going to do this? There must be millions of .co.uk sites all running different code bases and so needing a different fingerprint to pick up on a coookie banner. It will be a nightmare for a small government department (with very little funding).

The other factor is I sincerely believe there will be a lot of legal loopholes transpire when this goes live.

Yes I would wait and see.

Currently not even Government websites are complying with the ICO's interpretation of the rules.

I'm sure work arounds will appear nearer the time.
