How to import an existing email list into a Email Marketing Program

Hey warriors,

I have a potential client that owns a restaurant location. They've been open for 2 years and have managed to get 1,000 emails from customers. I think through surveys. I haven't asked yet I have a call with them later today. They are planing on opening another location in two months so there needs to be a way to take this existing list and put it in a email marketing software like aWeber or Mailchimp (Only two I'm familiar with). After I have imported them I need to be able to separate the list between the two different restaurant locations. I will also be wanted to implement a form on their website that allows me to capture emails but to also know which location they would like to receive emails from. Would I have to make two separate forms or could I have a drop down or something similar.

If anyone has any ideas on what is the best software for this or what the best way for me to approach this I would greatly appreciate it.
