My sales page no conversions

Im getting some traffic now but no conversion. I review some amazon products related to my nich but no sales. Such as CB Radios and GPS units all things related to truck driving. Also i have some adsense not much but nothing there either. Also i have a sales page for truck driver CDL protection truckers
Im not spamming because i know you going there wont help me. I just want to know what would you do to get more conversions. I mean any conversions because i have none so far. I have over 100 clicks to my amazon but no conversions. Also this page in the link has 100 visitors a day average time on page 8 minutes. So whats going on if there on the page that long but not doing anything? Now that i've learned how to get some traffic, and to build a site its time to learn how to convert that traffic thanks everybody.

Try the make the site more siple and newbie friendly...
Also you should test more different ads and don't put too many of them also..
Provide quality info and also you should try building a list , put an autoresponder and give them something free in order to subscribe to you.
Also the free bonus should be good quality and nieche related to build more trust.
Then send them constantly good info and once in a while promote products to them.

    Hope this helps
    Martin

That is what i've been doing providing great free info then promoting a product every now and then. I will try some diffrent ads. I dont have them on every page or post so not to many. As far as a list i need to start earning some profit first. So far i've spent over $1000 usd with no return.

How do visitors find your site?

What's the first page they land on?

The site isn't exactly well laid out - it's
going to be confusing for visitors, and
there's no Amazon or Adsense areas that
I can see above the fold.

    That's an issue.

Tell us more, and we can help.

I use a post where i talk about the amazon product, also i have a category "Truck driver tools" that is amazon products. The main page gets most of the hits followed by my pages that give free info on how to make the most money driving a truck. I thought that google does not rank high now if adsense is above the fold?

I don't know about that, but I do
know that burying your monetization in
deep pages or deep on the main page is
a pretty effective way to have people
      ignore it.

I think you need to organize your page a bit better.

You might want to consider getting a decent header. Also try a white background instead of grey.

If you want them to click those two links and see the videos first then put the videos and links nearer the top of the page.

    Its a bit confusing.

First I would get him a new Worpress theme for his site
and I would also pick better color combinations

Personally I dont like the dark on dark colors.

( so lets find him a New theme first)

oh and your twitter button does not work...

Where is the call to action on the page, I spent a little time and could not find what you want the visitor to do.

You need to make it VERY obvious what you want them to do, and put it in a big font that they cannot miss.

e.g. Click here to get your copy now.

Also found some typo's on the page, spelling mistakes can be a turn off.

Also consider putting Google analytics on the page and then you can use the new heat map feature to see where people are going. e.g. what they are clicking. Would be good to know what action they are taking when they hit the page.

    Good luck!

    Hi Gonzo,

My advice would be, quite simply, to keep at it.

100 visitors may just not be enough for you to get a sale on Amazon.

When I first started, I made about one sale in 500 visitors.

So don't despair! Keep it up! You'll make it =)

I don't know man, your trucker page really doesn't strike me as a "salespage." Characteristics of a sales page usually includes headlines, bullet points, testimonials, proof, stuff like that.

Before you assume that it's a dead niche, you might want to change that pace up a bit to try a more traditional salespage approach. Split testing is really the name of the game with salespages. Even small, seemingly insignificant details can make big changes in conversion %. Just my $0.02.

Your website is all over the place. Make one decision about what you want your visitors to do, and then go with it. If your main goal is to get them to subscribe, make your home page a squeeze page. If your main goal is to get them to buy a product, lead them to a nice clean page where the product information (sales letter) is presented to them.

I don't want people to go to my site and see just one thing a product for sale. I want them to browse around read some of my free posts which offer great info. Then after they see that I know what im talking about buy my product. I don't get what you mean by organize it better all the categories are left? Explain please how i can organize better? Also i already have on the top what i want them to do. "learn how to earn $75,000 a year and be home every night" That is what i teach on the site. My twitter button works for me. Most of my traffic comes from twitter , and facebook i enteract with them daily. So many questions still thanks for all your help everybody.

Lately I've been publishing a series of posts on how to write and sell a successful ebook. If you're reading this now and haven't already read the other parts of the series you can go back and start here if you like.
As I mentioned once or twice in that series I've released three separate ebooks for sale, each on different topics and with different levels of success. In this post I'm going to talk specifically about my two most recent ebooks.
