Optimizepress SERP Ranking Question

Most of my sites use the Thesis theme and I know that I can get those sites to rank in the search engines.

Im working on a new project that includes 70 new websites that will all use Optimizepress and Im concerned about how the sites will rank organically.

OPTIMIZEPRESS PROJECT DETAILS

  • 70 New Domains - 10 pages each - All Video optin pages with 500-600 words of unique keyword targeted content on each page below the video optin at the top of the pages.
  • Subdomain on each site (blog.domain dot com) using the Thesis theme as a blog. The reason for this is to add blog posts that target more keywords to drive in more traffic to the site and increase conversions/optins.
  • I totally understand link building and havent had issues ranking other sites. I just have NO experience with ranking optimizepress sites.
QUESTIONS

  • Is there anything different I need to do with the onsite SEO on optimizepress sites?
  • Are there any plugins that I NEED to use to get better onsite SEO for Optimizepress?
  • Does anyone have experience or feedback on the ability to get Optimizepress sites to rank?

    The SEO options in OP are alright, but not the greatest. You can go in the SEO section and disable the SEO for OA and then load the Wordpress SEO plugin by Yoast.

    There are plenty of good SEO plugins, but I've found that one to work the best. Even with my Thesis and Catalyst sites I disable their SEO and load that plugin. Works quite well.

    Personally I disable the optimize press SEO options and use the Platinum SEO Pack plugin - it allows me faster optimization during the publishing stages.

    I use OptimizePress as well, and have found no issues in ranking the sites. I do use the 'all in one SEO' plugin rather than the inbuilt options, but there is a lot more than just that for SEO requirements to rank a site.

      Thanks for all your feedback eveyone. Ive been using the Wordpress SEO plugin by Yoast on some of my thesis sites and I really like it too.

      I was just super concerned that these 70 new Optimizepress sites Im getting ready to roll out arent going to rank. I obviously have a lot of time put into this and organic traffic is a must.

      I have a pretty solid link building strategy (Article marketing, Blog comments, SENuke, etc) but again, I have no experience with how Optimizepress will react to the linking. Not to mention there is a video and optin at the top of every page that will effect the rankings as well. This is why we are adding 500-600 words of content on each page.

      I was also thinking that since there will be the SAME optin video on the top of every page that I might change the video file name and location (S3 Bucket) for each video so it looks like a different video.

      Anyone have any possitive experience with Video sitemaps and Optimizepress? Is it worth the time?
