Any New Domaining Tip's and Trick's to Learn in 2012?

Hello Warrior's,

I just started again the Game of Researching&finding&Buying and selling Domains which I have left it 3 years ago.I know only the old tips and tricks in the book.

Here I'm looking for the new ones now.

Well it is hard to find .com Domains nowaday's .So I'm concentrating on other TLD's.

How is the market for .mobi .US .Biz .de .in .eu .be Domains?

Best platforms to sell domains in 2012?(I know a few afternic,sedo...)

How can I smell scams in 2012?

what about appraisal services?Can I trust their Values for my domains?

I recently got a 4 digit(.org) domain.I'm planning to sell it for more than 25K Am I mad?

    I'm always creating new methods and experimenting with ideas. It's limited only by your creativity.

    Approach it from the buyer's point of view. Think of what is important to potential buyers, and develop a strategy to help them with the use of a good domain.

    Local domains are HOT. You can bring incredible value to local businesses by providing keyword-rich domains to generate leads in their local area.

    Personally, I stick with .COM only, if my intention is to sell. Businesses want .COM. It's a much harder sell to use anything else. Sure, you 'can' sell any other TLD, but you want to stack the odds in your favor. .COM commands much higher prices, and is what is wanted.

    I don't agree with this logic. The fact that .COMs are harder to find, just makes them that much more valuable.

    No. Get appraisals from 10 different sources and you'll get 10 wildly different values. Appraisals mean nothing. The price you get for your domain name depends on how well you can locate buyers that absolutely want/need it.

      Yup I agree with you But I'm also considering local Market For Example If I'm in Sweden I want to find a job the first thing I see in Google is a .se domain.

        Absolutely. Like I said, you need to give them what they want. In my case, it's always .COM. In your case, if the businesses you're targeting want a .SE, sell them .SE.

    You will probably find it difficult to unload those extensions. I wouldn't invest any money in them at all.

    Good luck on 25K for the .org. It really depends on the 4 letters, but the only way it is actually worth 25K is if you find someone willing to pay 25K.
