How do I get my products in the big PLR directories?

Hi

I was thinking of starting to offer PLR rights to some of my products as a bonus or upsell.

I figured once I sell it with PLR, PLR savvy customers are going to resell it to PLR directories.

So I think maybe I should do that first? Or not worry about it.

For example I offer a product for $7 with PLR rights as a limited number upsell for $17.

If I sell the product to PLR directories first, then it will be all over the place for $1 and my $17 upsell is worthless.

If I sell it exclusively first. By the time my exclusive deal is over, it will already be in all the PLR directories so I won't be able to sell it there once my deal is over.

Should I just resell the premium PLR and not worry about them being redistributed to PLR directories by others or am I missing an opportunity there?

And how would I go about getting it in many PLR directories? I assume you can submit to a sourcing site that many PLR dirs scrape rather than submitting to individual PLR sites.

I think you might have a different idea on PLR resell sites. There are not really directories, they are more store fronts. Scraping is for gathering content, not applicable in this instance.

There is only one site I can think of that might be considered a directory and ya if it does end up there, it probably will be sold for low-low price. Sadly they are killing it for many.

As for resell sites selling it at a low price, it's not always a matter of wanting to sell it low, it's a almost need-to, to compete with other sites.

Remember something important though... If you created the product, you have the rights to state what can and can not be done with it, also the price and where it can or can not be sold. The bad part is, you'd have to police resellers, which can be a pain and time consuming.

The other option is to sell it with PLR, but that buyers can not sell PLR themselves. Would save you some hassle. You might lose some buyers, but it's an option.

Are PLR directories really the right place to sell PLR in the first place? Shouldn't you be focused on selling them to IMers or Webmasters?

    Hi

Thanks for the replies. I didn't mean "scraping" like stealing, I meant like using as a source rather than get each PLR items from the individual author. So each month 100 PLR member sites get new ebooks, softare, templates from plrwarehousedirect.

I just assume this because I see the same ebooks among 'new releases' on different PLR seller sites.

I'm not thinking of this for all products, but a lot of introductory ebooks or ebooks with a limited shelf life (say 'panda update solutions') can bring more money up front by selling the PLR rights.

I have seen a few WSOs like this.

I'm not talking about selling PLR on something I think as a flagship or premium product.
