Hi Everyone.
I'm curious to everyones response to this question.

what's your most pressing problem when it comes to
making a full time income online.

If you had to guess, what would you think it was?

Thanks

Over-thinking (also known as worrying) things and struggling to find a good rhythm for business-building activities and daily-life stuff.

Curious, what do you struggle with most robbensalter?

I agree with Tiffiney, find that rhythm is important. Once you start balancing more than one website or project it's very easy to have lapses in your plan.

Sticking to a plan is super important and with so many plans swarming at once, things can get neglected. Making that first dollar is easy, scaling it up is what takes practice, experience, and finesse.

I'm typically not an organized person. In college I rarely ever kept a planner or calendar. I found that once I started organizing everything and forced myself to first create an outline of the actions I would take and then sticking to it, that's when I saw the biggest change in my success.

I have school and sports so when I finally have free time, I am so tired and it very hard to focus and work.
Weekends are pretty much the only time I work.

I've been trying to help a close friend create an online business, for over a year now. It's just as already mentioned, he keeps coming up with reasons not to get enough done, get's side tracked, into other things, it's always something.

I usually talk to him at least once a week, but lately I try not to talk about new idea's for fear he'll get sidetracked again.

A dear friend and smart guy, just can't seemed to get focused enough. Takes some action, but not enough action to finish most things.

There's an entire section dedicated to this topic, as well as I'm sure many other carbon copy thread in this section.

In any event, many reasons: dedication, knowledge, effort, execution, money, will, etc., etc.

At the moment not much is holding me back. I'm focused like a ninja in 2012 so far and getting some great results.
I guess lack of time is one issue. There just never seems to be enough hours in the day unfortunately.

That's great! It always feels good when I have a plan and am productive!

I've been thinking a lot about that "lack of time" because I struggle with that too. I keep wondering if I just have too many things on my to-do list for the time I have available. It's got me wondering what things I choose to do that I could cut out, making more room for the things that I really want to succeed in.

Yea know what you mean. I really just don't have enough hours in the day. I need to really focus on outsourcing some of the non-crucial aspects and focus on the things that are making me money. That's the real trick I guess

Main setback in the beginning was the cash to invest. Knowledge is easy to gain, but while gaining it, you don't make any money.

    2) wish there where more hours in a day

Too many ideas and trying to find a Long term JV partner or 2 that is on the same page as I am, with talents that compliment mine.

In 2011 I discovered you can't do it alone, If you have another person or 2 on your team you can keep each other motivated and on track.

Each team member focuses on what they are good at and the whole team benefits.

There are many successful and many more unsuccessful arrangements like this That I have studied over the last month.

TRUST is the big issue as everyone seems to think I just want them to buy something so I get a commission. This is not the case, I would pay for the tools for a couple of decent Long term JV partners.

I feel That is holding me back as I have reached the limit of what I can achieve on my own, I thought of outsourcing but wheres the fun in that? I want to get excited with like minded people, Just like back in my sales days when we had Pump up sessions ad brainstorming sessions to get the blood flowing for the week.

    Together . Everyone . Achieves . More
    T . E . A . M

    An Oldy but a goody.

Don't get me wrong I am having a great year so far in 2012, It would be nice to move up a few Intensity levels though.

Yep, these were my problems too but having observed what
some good marketers put out I just do my best within a certain
time frame and get the work out there.

I try to stick by the 20/80 rule where 80% of my time is marketing...
after all, we are marketers aren't we? :-)

Lack of time. Time flies by too fast... and before you know it, the time is over. Trying to get things situated while also caring for a little one eats time quickly. My wife opted him for daycare part time recently so hoping that frees a couple of hours here and there at least. Crossing my fingers for a successful 2012!

Going with too many small ideas then scared to take a big risk for the big idea. Overcoming this fast, and the big idea is slowly happening.

Mine is just pure laziness. I made a nice chunk of change in '07-'09 on an offline national marketing project, and am well off financially.. I want to get going on something new, but not motivated...

When I was a newbie my problem was the all too common "information paralysis". I was SO overwhelmed and I had SO much conflicting information flying at me that I didn't know what to do! I kept spinning my wheels, then I had an AHA moment and I haven't looked back. Information paralysis was definitely my problem!

Biggest set back for me right now is:

    1. Choosing the best training program.

    2. Finding a Mentor.

    Thanks,

Time is the most pressing issue. Organization is the key to more time. Develop a working plan with check lists, and a routine for your day. Then, work the plan. I just started developing a checklist today. Remember to dedicate at least three hours per day for the first few months to developing new clients. I make phone calls, leave voice mail, and send an email. Then I follow up with emails on a monthly basis.

Develop a rhythm and make small adjustments.
