Possible to make money online on auto-pilot and minimal cash input?

Hi Reader,

Thank you for clicking on my thread.

As I have minimal cash and very little time, I am wondering is it still possible for me to start an online business of some sort and hopefully be able to make some side income to supplement the high expenses of my family.

Really appreaciate all seniors and experienced IM-ers who can input your views and thoughts to guide me on my web path... Thanks so much

    Read this thread for starters

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ters-make.html

You want to know what are the main mistakes people make.

Understand that you need to invest some time in yourself to learn about the industry - You have most of what you need in this forum.

Remember when you started you first job there was a lot you didn't know (and a lot that you didn't know that you didn't know - if you know what i mean).

As you learned things became clearer and options for promotion opened up and you got more experience and more confidence - The same is true for Internet Marketing.

My suggestion would be for you to focus on learning the ropes about the industry and then as you get more knowledge start thinking about which avenue you are looking at.

For example Affiliate Marketing, Product creation, etc. There is probably no point in making any hard decisions right now because you do not have the knowledge and skills to know whether the decision is a good one or not.

Good luck and keep at it! Tons of people are making a nice income online and there is nothing stopping you from joining them.

    Cheers

I would definately suggest reading this post http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ters-make.html that Tim highlighted above! Its a crucial read for internet marketers

The best advice is don't give up - because you won't make money by giving up. But the thing is, you won't make instant money as thats just not possible, like your career and salary outside of the internet - you have to work hard for that money and that means years and years of education to be able to be qualified to be able to earn what you earn.

I'm not saying that IM requires years and years of reading , research and learning, but you still need to do that. You've made a great step by coming onto this forum, check out the posts and definately get yourself a WF membership for $37.00 its well worth it and there are some great ideas in the war room

Don't let all this information overload you though, read up on techniques and focus on that. I have a WSO about how I made my first 4 figures online theres a link in my signature for it. I made about $35 on my first day on Fiverr then it went from there really and I developed myself further from this.

Another good piece of advice is to INVEST IN YOURSELF! If you make money - don't spend it, use that money to invest more and make a greater return.

Good luck! Hope you found this helpful

An online business is pretty much like any other business and I don't know of too many that have been successful with little time or money invested.

I think you need to be willing to put in one or the other or preferably both in order to see good income.

I know there are those that claim to have made lots of money without any time or money invested but I would say those are the exception rather than the rule. I think most people here who are making good money will tell you that they have a lot of time/money invested in growing their business to that point.

    • Yes, it is possible...

      1. Hire a market, micro niche, affiliate product and keyword researcher associate. Also ask this person to monitor good expired and expiring domains with exact match domain names relevant to profitable industries, micro niches and exact match keyword searches. Tell this person to gather relevant backlink profile and other domain details of these expired and expiring domains, so he or she can purchase those domains, preferably closeout domains...

      2. Hire a content researcher/writer. Ask this person to write unique, relevant product review content about the affiliate products included in the research output provided by your researcher associate. Of course, the content should be helpful for people prepared to purchase those affiliate products as soon as they gain useful info that can help them make an informed buying decision...

      3. Hire a Web developer with graphics design expertise. Ask this person to customize the design of free or paid Wordpress themes most suitable for the micro niches provided by your researcher associate. Also ask this person to upload the content from your writer associate to the sites, including content formatting, adding relevant images and placing your affiliate links...

      4. Hire an SEO associate who can do effective onsite SEO for these sites. Also ask this person to integrate an autoresponder into those sites, upload, activate and configure good Wordpress plugins that will SE optimize your onsite content further and make it easy for your content to be shared by your viewers to their social networks. Sell these sites and domains for profits: Ask this person to post these sites for sale in site flipping networks and SEO/IM Web forums. Ask this person to post these domains for sale in domain auction sites and SEO/IM Web forums...

      5. Monitor your overheads, gross and net profits. Improve your plans and campaigns. Once you're confident that only minimal changes could most likely be required to your improved plans and campaigns: Train someone to do this and hire this person, so you'll just get weekly reports from this person as well as emergency notifications when necessary...

      6. Invest some of your net profits in other profitable ventures...

Of course: You can't correctly do the things above if you don't know the industry standard output volume and quality that should be produced by each of the persons you'll hire...

hiring 6 people and making sure that they are producing is neither auto pilot...nor is it minimal cash input...

Well I guess you can get it to autopilot if you find the right 6 folks...but it still ain't minimal cash...I guess that depends on what you mean by "minimal"

What's your reference point? Mine is sustainability, ROI timeline, net profit margins and scalability. Now, with hindsight: Would you think this is neither auto pilot, nor minimum cash input?

Again, what's your reference point when mentioning "minimal cash input"? Mine is sustainability, ROI timeline, net profit margins and scalability. Also, my ICT outsourcing company grew from 4 work at home moms and dads, my wife and I included, to more than 120 employees, 2 head offices here in Manila, 9 provincial city offices across the Philippines, 40 independent homebased subcontractors and 11 service supplier subcontractors each with their own groups of 10 to 15 employees. All this in barely 3 months. This means it just took me, back then, a few hours to get six people with the expertise and work ethics I required. Oh, BTW:

I was totally blind when I did this in 2006, seriously, and I've been continuing to grow and expand my company since then, and I'm still totally blind, going on 9 years now, after being gunned down twice, chest and head, last Nov 2003...

Yup, it'll only cost you about $10 to get started and from there it's all hands off! Just hire 6 people and reinvest your money into all of your 'other profitable ventures' that you have lying around and you are SET!

        ...

        Yup.

Where has all the creativity gone? You don't need $10 to hire six people to do the plan I outlined above. Start with your friends, relatives, colleagues and other social contacts with relevant expertise and interested in earning income online. Ask them to work at home doing those things. Get clients to pay upfront. Use those funds to pay your contacts for their contracted services. Use your net profits to invest in the things you need to follow the plan I outlined above. Scale up your operations. Sign up more clients. Hire others to do things for you which will grow and expand your business. Earn more net profits and gain more free time. Develop more innovative business and investment plans. Invest in those ventures. What does this mean?

Substantial time investment upon startup. 0 cash input. Net profits for you. Additional income for your contacts. Sustainability and scalability for your business. More time to develop innovative business and investment plans. More time and resources to invest in those ventures. More free time. More net profits. More creative freedom to become a musician or a novelist or a visual artist or a movie producer or or or...

Hi Lee, Thanks for your advice and encouragement.

If we were to invest an equal amount of both time and money. What is a reasonable amount for a newbie to invest in, in order to start himself on this online business way?

As for the vested time, I am also prepared to put in the after hours of work onto my projects/business to grow it. Would that be enough?

Right now i am clueless as to where to start, what to do first, second, third and so on and so forth. Plenty of advice and assistance from people like you will be much appreciated.

I started Blogging at Blogger Blog and had no upstart cost at all. I did some SEO work on my own by Blog, by blog commenting and using Ezine Articles and Go articels pointing back to my Blog with anchor text link. And on top of this I produced good, useful and unique content to my Blog on a consistent basis. All of this is FREE !! ( Eventually as you make more money you might switch some of those blogs over to Wordpress !!)

Put some adsense on that Blog and CPA offers and you will develop some automatic cash coming in each month without even posting in your Blog (eventually). That is at least from my experience !!

My suggestion would be to stop searching for either. I'm not going to say its never been done before, because people will tell you its possible. Personally I feel that if you want to build a true business that you can count on for years to come, there is no way. That mindset is the exact reason so many people fail.. They are in constant search of something "easier". I want to do nothing, spend nothing, and make tons! It's not going to happen. So when they purchase a product that could potentially make them thousands if implemented properly, they give up when you find out it takes work or they feel it is too hard.

      Thanks for your advice Tech.

For me I am more of lost in getting started, like what to do, how much time i need to invest and into doing what, how much money is a good gauge to start etc.

I want this to work longer term but i dont know how. Perhaps you can share more of your expertise with me or guide me on the road to success..

    Nope, that is not possible.

The minimal cash part: no problem, that's possible.
The minimal time part: it's takes up to 2 hours per day to add up your earnings.

So, you have to invest a little more time

      hi hpgoodboy,

      Thanks for your reply..

Just thinking, would increasing the cash investment part be able to reduce the time I need to do things myself manually?

I am still prepared to put in the 2 hrs daily after work to make this thing work just that I dont know how and where to start...

      Can you guide?

Trying to balance your cash and time, invest your money into tools that you can provide automate SEO services or niche sites that can generate money after months. Don't aim too high or take thing too complicated, i know but things tend too complicated at the beginning and one seem has many options but actually its not.

You should consider creating a blog from Blogger.com, and focus it around a nice sized niche that is profitable and hungry for information. Then after you've amasssed a large size portion of traffic each and everyday, throw Google Adsense on the site along with some Clickbank products sprinkled through your blog posts, and also on the side panel.

    Chartist,

I sent you a PM with some information. I provided affiliate links but also the non-affiliate links so you don't think I am trying to take advantage. The things I sent you have helped me immensely. If you have any other questions, let me know. I am signing off for the night but I will be back on tomorrow and will check back for the questions if you are not able to PM.

    John

      Hey John,

Finally a post of sincerity other than the ones I see above me.

I cannot reply to your PM because I am very new to this forum.

However I have updated my skype details in my profile so perhaps we can connect over there?

Look through your links and it has certainly excited me. Thanks for sharing.

I started off with free methods and a lot of hard work writing articles and creating squidoo lenses. I picked a NOT so popular product from clickbank with a low gravity under 20 and wrote articles with my affiliate link in. This got me my first sales and gave me the "belief" that I could make this work.. I then had months and months of disappointing results because I had not learnt the basics of keyword research and was targeting the wrong keywords.

I remember find great keywords but getting hardly any traffic and why was this? because I was using google keyword tool and not searching for exact match so the numbers I thought I had found were wrong...

Looking back this is what I should have made a priority to learn about..

        0. Product Selection
        1. Keyword research
        2. How to evaluate competition
        2. Wordpress sites
        3. wordpress plugins
        5. How to write good content
        4. on and off page SEO
        5. Creating backlinks

Just those few things would have saved me months and months of pain....

          Hi Livethedream,

I would love to live the dream just like you.

Thanks for listing out the steps above... really appreciate it.

I believe I will need to start and work on parts 1 to 3 first before i can seriously think of the rest.

Your first step is product selection which varies a little from the other threads I have been reading.

How do I go about selecting a good product as right now i am totally lost as to what should I be focusing on? Should it be something of my interest? Build a niche site? or blog? or what?

If its niche site...does the product need to be something of interest to me?

If its blog? what product will be deemed as good for this?

Thanks for your time. I cant PM yet as I am still very new.

The guys are giving some basic advices and you are still lost
Before anything you need to read a step by step course/WSO in how to LEARN make money on line

1- niche (for God sake, it can be any, weight loss, finance, gardening, etc,etc...
2 - keyword research, that include competition and profits keywords (if you don't learn how to find a great keyword, forget about online business)

            After you learn that.

Go and creat some free blogs, blogger,squidoo,etc..You can rewrite or have great ideas on articles directories as ezine article, go article and many more.

And then apply for adsense, cpa or amazon affiliate.

            outsource SEO on fiverr ($5)

And please take action, dont keep just making questions...

          Hi Livethedream,

I came across these 5 steps in one of the free e-books i signed up for.

          1. Niche Research
          2. Keyword Research
          3. Website
          4. Monetization
          5. SEO

Just wondering how do I do a Niche research? Is it the same thing as your product selection?

          Thanks

You have to put something in, before expecting to get something in return. In "brick and mortar" business, you need both money and experience. If you lack one of these components, more of your time is required to compensate it.
In IM it's more or less the same, except having financial means to make big investments is not so necessary. But you still have to put in your experience and if you don't have any, much more of your time is required to get it eventually.

      Right Sunray,

I do know that but how much time or how much money I need to put in... in which areas, where and how should I start are all question marks to me right now.

      Thanks nevertheless.

More you put in the more you get out. I don't mean money, time and effort learning. No business out there is going to be automated from the starting gate.

Usualy you can't process are either labour intensive or capital intensive. The best thing you can do i make a product that creates value (solves a problem) and market it intially with ppc or via facebook.

Then hope that the comunity will do promoting for you. Affiliates are also a good idea. take a bit more time to set up, but once it is up and running your work doesn;t have to be much (except from answering customers tickets, etc)

Hopefully it hasn't been said, but here's my 2 cents:

With some basic understanding of IM you can make autopilot income with no investment. It will take a bit longer to scale things however.

Youtube is my favourite for this. There are many, many youtube methods here on the forum that do work. Also classified ad posting. I prefer youtube because you can create long term, set it and forget it system.

That works well for start-up cash if you're really strapped for cash, but I recommend that you always re-invest to grow faster untill you achieve a sustainable income.

The most autopilot business that you can make money with is affiliate marketing and Google Adsense. Both of these you don't have to deal with customers and complaints, and you just earn commissions. You will need alot of traffic though to earn a sizable income, but I think it's more than worth it to pursue. Hey man good luck.

The things you DO need money for

    1 domain
    2 hosting
    3 autoresponder

things you dont need money for

finding a niche , finding a product , finding buyers .. Dont complicate things you can make money with no money as well absolutely nothing now you will have to put in the time to learn and apply the techniques .. So my suggestion is you find a way to squeeze in time move things around in anyway shape you can sacrifice sleep do whatever it takes because what awaits on the other side is very rewarding...Wanna learn more send me a message

This is just like any other business in that regard. You have to have some type of capital and/or sweat equity to be successful. There is nothing that is just click here and go, unless you find someone willing to simply hand you a profit machine that is already set in place. If you do, please send me in that direction!
