Dear all,

I'm curious, what are the different to create your blog by using Wordpress and by Google blog?
#blog #google #wordpress
  • For me it's always Wordpress.
Easy to use, and the plugins allow you to SEO your site really easily.

Wordpress has a lot more functionality. It's safe to say that it has become the standard. When I first started blogging, I used Blogger. I didn't know about Wordpress at the time. Wordpress all the way. Make sure you do stuff on your own domain so that you have control over the content and stuff. I had to learn that the hard way. You also need to do your research before you start buying up a lot of domains. People make mistakes like this all the time, so I thought I would mention it ahead of time. :-)

    Good luck,
    Joey

I heard WordPress is a better choice than Blogger. Though I'm using Blogger at the moment and I'm quite happy with it..

But if you meant to create a blog for business purposes then you should definitely try WordPress. And buy your own domain.

I also started out with Blogger. It was an easy and simple alternative to WordPress at the time, in that I didn't require any web hosting and I didn't need to purchase a domain name to get started. I eventually moved over to WordPress after I needed the additional functionality and flexibility that WordPress has to offer.

In saying this, I'd most certainly choose WordPress and I would agree that it's become the blogging standard.

Blogspot isn't a bad CMS, but I think Wordpress is better, because it's much more customizable - All the plugins, themes, etc. You can change everything to your liking and it's not even hard to learn Wordpress, so my vote goes to WP.

Wordpress, Wordpress, Wordpress , just stick to it. Blogspot is not even 1% of wordpress. You can tweak or customize your blog (or even static site) to any extent if you use wordpress for it and better : you have full control over what you do.

(And I am assuming you are comparing google blogspot to a self hosted wordpress and not to wordpress.com)

Wordpress every time as it has it's own developer community and is constantly updated.

WordPress (WP) is the best no doubts, I have used both.
Recommend you to have your own domain and setup your own WP copy (self hosted WP).

WP is mature blogging platform and gives more control and several quality plugins, and if you know some programming, its easy to customize too.

Wordpress is better for everything in my opinion. For SEO, customization, plug-ins etc...

You can do practically anything with Wordpress, and even make it into forums and stores with plug-ins and more. Blogger is good for simple blogging but nothing much bigger.

If you have a domain, I prefer Wordpress since Wordpress is easy to use and manage. If you are opting for Free blog sites, then Blogger will do since Free Wordpress Blog do not give that flexibility like ads are not allowed to a free Wordpress blog.

WordPress, but make the first thing you do is make it hack resistant. Don't wait until later to do this or you will be sorry. Good luck, Ed
