Decent writing gig, anyone?

I'm a freelance writer/blogger and I'm looking for a writing gig that pays handsomely.

I'm an odesk freelancer but I'm afraid I can't find a 500-word article that is worth more than $5. I heard that $5 is pretty cheap for a 500-word article. I mean, c'mon it's not even enough to make both ends meet.

So if you know a LEGIT site where you get paid for the quality of your work, I would be so grateful!

    Its a tough competition market. But I recommend you to focus on producing quality, in start don't think of money but just do it.

    I myself take my first project for $5 only (not on writing, that is some programming stuff, although the efforts worth at least $100 or more), but that first project and the review from that client helps, I started getting more clients, and finally build my links and prove my quality of work, and now don't have to worry about getting more work.

    Constant Content sell premium pre-written articles at much higher $5. You could sign up as a writer there. I have only used it as an article buyer, but from what I hear, articles need to be of high quality in order to be accepted (they are quite strict).
