Hey Warriors... I'm trying to capture a picture of my website with Fast Stone Capture that will then be printed out on a hard copy medium. The problem is when I load it into the program that will print the physical copy I get a BAD IMAGE warning saying the dpi is 74... it needs to be about 300 dpi. Any suggestions? Thanks... Tsnyder |

Terry, In the absence of someone more knowledgeable getting back to you... I think the screen capture will be, by definition, low dpi. Grab the largest image of your site you can and change the dpi in Photoshop or whatever photo-manipulation software you have. It won't make your image of any better quality, but it will allow your print program to handle it. Test it and see. Peter |

You're not going to get a sharp print from any web image, even if you increase the resolution using Photoshop or another graphics program. But Tsnyder's advice will work it you just want a low-quality print. If you want a high quality print you will need to reconstruct your site as an image in a graphics program. As it's your site, you probably have all the source files and images. But use your screen capture images to cut and paste the text because Photoshop text doesn't look right. |
