ebay listing style web template - which one?

Im looking for a web template that will enable me to promote and sale products . The products will all be second hand and I will effectively be the middle man. The person selling can upload there product, pay me to list it on the site and the buyer can then browse the site to search for what they are wanting.
I guess its very much like ebay but on a very small scale.
The question is which web template is good for this. Is it something that is compatible with wordpress?
What are your views and recommendations?
