Which is More Profitable? Adsense/Clickbank?

Hey Warriorers,

I am going to be starting my next project, but I just want to get some ideas from you guys on what you think the most profitable project would be.

Either:

1) Create a microniche site with a specialized adsense theme

OR

2) Create a website for clickbank products and probably use this plugin:
http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...your-blog.html

3) Create a website to sell an infoproduct

Which one do you think I should go with? Any suggestions are appreciated.
#adsense or clickbank #profitable

Depends entirely on your marketing skillset.

Clickbank is a heck of a lot more difficult. But the commissions are significantly higher. If you know what you are doing, then Clickbank is definitely more profitable. If you don't... then you'll probably want to start with adsense or amazon.

Thanks for your response. Yeah Clickbank seems a lot harder. So I should start off with adsense and then move into Clickbank once I become more well versed with the whole gig?

Thanks for your response as well. I would probably pay someone to do the keyword research.

I added one more option too

You could do about the same with both, building the microniche sites can be much quicker. You could probably put together 5 microniche adsense sites in the same amount of time it would take to build a decent site geared towards selling clickbank products.

I'm not familiar with the WP Plugin your talking about, but either way your main concern with either site is driving traffic. If you have the skills to get ranked, or have someone you outsource to, then I would give both a try and see which one gives you the best bang for buck.

Well - the obvious difference is with ClickBank someone has to complete a sale in order to get your commission.

With adsense they just have to click an ad and exit your site.

You need to step back and figure out what kind of site you're developing and will be building up in the long term.

I will say that of the people I know who make good money off of ClickBank as affiliates we all do some serious pre-selling, list building, SEO etc. etc. in order to close the sales. I also do some PPC/media buys to my list opt-in page.

I sometimes look at all the effort and wonder if AdSense would have been easier - it might have been but I'm not convinced it would be as profitable.

Yeah the problem for me is that I do not really have a list. And with microniche adsense blogs I don't think a list would do so well, so I guess if I don't get started on building a list then I can't do a lot of things.

That's why I'm stuck. It seems like Clickbank = harder, more profitable, builds a list and Microniche for adsense = easier, long-term, autopilot

Yes, micro niche sites are a great way to develop a passive income, and you can build very responsive list from them.

Short term, Clickbank. Long term micro niche sites. Clickbank sites take more work, but you'll see a faster ROI. Micro-niche sites (as long as they're relevant) grow in value the longer you have them. I consider micro-niche sites long-term investments. They are real (in a financial sense of the word) assets.

Defiantly Clickbank is where my money comes from. You can get a low competitive keyword ranked fairly easy. With the proper keywords and seo you should start seeing organic traffic flowing in no time. Also, more traffic methods for clickbank. But again micro niche sites can pull in some $$$

you can build a small niche website for adsense and put some affiliate products that are similar to your domain name. later on you can improve your website and add an optin and more affiliate programs.
building a small niche website is easier to rank and to begin with,..

I've made well over 1k in the last couple month on clickbank, 6 dollars via CPA, and $1.54 on adsense. Against all odds Clickbank is easier for me. Don't forget you can get banned from adsense on a whim if you so much as look at Google's dog funny.

    Hi,
i also believe that clickbank is more profitable. But this depend on your marketing skills and the strategy you are going to follow to get traffic to your website.
In my opinion the key is to get traffic to your site. As everybody mentions above, with clickbank products you have to convince the visitor to buy (conversion) in order to get your passive income.

Whenever I have used adsense it has always had the same conversion rates as products from Clickbank. That being at around 3 percent. So if I sent 100 people to the page I could get 3 clicks ( about $2? ) or 3 sales ( upto about $60).

Thats just me though, lots of people could be different. I just wanted to give you my experience to help shape your decision.

Thanks for giving me your experience because that's what I'm looking for

I just wanted to get an idea from people established in Adsense and in Clickbank about what they like about each.

      Thanks everyone for posting!

I guess if you site and wait for money to come in Adsense is better, but if you are active in finding new products and services to promote then clickbank is better...

Its alot easier to get some one to click on an adsense link that it is to get them to click on an affiliate link AND get them to buy. I use clickbank ALOT but that doesnt mean its the right choice for you.

    Good luck

Much easier for someone to click on adsense but if you target the right people clickbank in my opinion is more rewarding.

Clickbank would earn you more money. If you went with adsense you'd get a few clicks... but it wouldn't amount to the income that you would make from Clickbank. If you want to earn $500 a month with Adsense, you need ALOT of website visitors, and clicks. Clickbank would be easier.
