Paid for $267 but now he doesn't reply my email. What shall I do?

Hello fellow warriors

I paid a warrior $267 for SEO service in November. At that time I didn't have any website yet, but I was doing keywords research so I know I will have some websites need to do SEO anyway, and he had a black friday promotion deal, so the price is attractive and I paid him in advance.

Now I have built some websites and need him to do SEO for me, but he only replied me once and then never reply me again.

One week ago, I sent him my project detail, but didn't get any reply. Since then, I have sent him 3 emails to ask him but still no reply.

He even closed his thread in "warrior for hire", so I cannot write comment either.

Because I paid him more than 2 months ago, paypal will not deal with this either because they only deal with transaction within 45 days.

So what can I do? Any suggestion?

Thanks

Sorry to hear you have problems with him. Short of exposing him on the forum I am not sure what else you can do.

I am not sure of the rules on the forum about "exposing" other people so you might want to check that out. If it's ok to do it, then open a thread and name who he is to warn others - If his reputation is important to him perhaps he will be honest and come clean and refund you or do the work.

It's sad that some people do this to other people so I wish you well.

Perhaps in the future consider only paying a small deposit for work and then rest when the work is completed.

The forum rules are in a Sticky thread at the top of this section, in a thread titled "Forum Rules," oddly enough.

Here's the first rule listed at the top of the thread:

The main overriding rule for this forum is this:

      Rule #1

If you have a problem with another Warrior, a Guru, or God, take it up with them directly. Not here. No exceptions.

Everyone is supposed to have read these rules before posting, but it's never too late.

To OP: You might open a ticket with the Help Desk and let them know what's happening. They may not be able to help you get your money back, but at least they can make sure this person does no more business on this forum until they make things right, at the very least.

But it's definitely not allowed to directly expose people here.

My Bad. Lucky I did say to check it out before doing it.

I wonder what the HECK is the point of that rule. IMO it's obvious that when someone "scams" he should be exposed as much as possible, of course assuming that one has some kind of proof of the situation. That rule basicly gives anyone a great possibility to scam as much as they like, because no-one can expose them.

        Gosh, goes beyond my understanding.

          Do we have proof?

You don't have all the details about the vendor and purchaser.

For all we know, the purchaser could be making this whole story up - the seller may have stolen his girlfriend or could be an ex girlfriend.

That rule is there to protect the innocent and prevent possible false and slanderous information from filling up this site.

This is considered like a public place.

Think about if you owned a bar, and just allowed anyone to have a fight in it and spread around accusations to anyone. That is fair? How do you determine who to believe? You can't, so you don't.

Send them outside for the fight.

Does he have a website or anything? You could always try to search his domain registration info via whois to see if he has a publicly listed phone number.

Also how did you pay through paypal? If you used a credit card you could always check with your credit card company to see if they might be able to handle it as a chargeback situation.

That sounds like a bad situation, best of luck.

Thanks for suggestion. In my last email, I have told him that I will give him several days more and see what will happen.

If he still ignore me, I will do something.

  • Sorry to hear that. Those are the kind of people that give the internet marketing niche a bad name.
    Hang in there.
