Selling a Watch on Ebay

so i have a nice designer watch listed at $419 retail value that i'm trying to get about $120 for. i just listed it on ebay.

can i even expect to sell it there for that price?

from what i've gathered, it seems the supply far outweighs the demand. i've been monitoring watch sales on ebay over the past week or so and i have seen numerous, numerous high end watches that either went unbought or barely met the minimum bid at the 11th hour.

if i can;t sell it on ebay for a profit, where else could i turn to?

Why don't you walk around your area and offer it to people?

What about where you work? Try people you know in your church, offer it to a relative, put it on Craigslist.

i don't feel comfortable soliciting my co-workers to make a buck.

it is a very nice watch and certainly worth more than i'm asking but i don't want to be "that guy"...

Sorry, I thought it was something that was yours, are you selling it from a catalog for profit then?

i physically have it in my possession. my g/f got it as a gift and it's a high end watch, it's just not her style.

When it comes to watches being sold on eBay people are weary because of so many designer knock offs - so it's a lot harder to sell than let's say a text book or something which value could be defined right away.

Sell it to someone you at least have some sort of trust with - a friend or a relative.

    Good luck.

Create a t-shirt saying "Selling High End Watch" and just walk around the streets.

Well it's going to depend on your feedback more than anything.

Seems decent enough, why not give it away as a prize in your next product launch?
