clickbank commission question

Hey Warriors,

I setup a site a few months back that was focused on a particular clickbank product. Haven't done much SEO for the site but it managed to get one sale. According to clickbank market stats this is the product info;

Stats: Initial $/sale: $25.12 | Avg %/sale: 60.0% |

The commission on my sale was $2.00 - I must be missing something, I was under the impression the stats for a product gave you accurate pricing information. I did notice while researching the product initially their sales page offered a few different packages at different prices.

So, how can I find out accurately before I promote a product what my commission will be for a sale? Thanks!

    You can just visit there affiliate page and check out the price of the product and commissions they are giving..that way you can calculate the commission..

      Affiliate pages the seller creates can be very minimal, some products don't have one at all. I'm wondering if its possible to get accurate information from clickbank about a product, or from another reliable source.

      This particular product is listed as having at avg sale of $80. Which is hard to believe with these 5 dollar sales.

    if you're unsure about the correct pricing information, you can always call clickbank and ask them the specifics...they're very helpful.
    Their # btw is 800-390-6035.

    Hope you get this straightened out soon.

      They are averages across ALL products in an account. It seems that you sold a $5 item which may have been a downsell say from the main product at the site.

      Generally (but not necessarily) the Item number in the Transactions Report will be 1 for the main product so there should be a different number shown on your sale

      You can use the current commission rate (found in the Promote section) and the product price to work out the amount of commission (after deducting ClickBank's share which is 7.5% + $1).

    Could it possibly be something like a "one-week trial" for $5, with the balance being paid 7 days later if not cancelled? There are some like that.

    Always worth checking the sales page to see if something's been added recently on an exit pop-up, or whatever? (Apologies if you've already thought of that, and it isn't - in which case Harvey's information above will be more helpful to you, anyway). But those can sometimes be $5 sales ...
