Is technnical knowledge essential for affiliate marketing?

I want to do affiliate marketing but I am confused about the KEY WORD. All I want is write about Football (Soccer). Could anyone let me know what are the factors I need to take care of?

I know a little bit about CPC like high CPC is good but they have tough competition.

Also know a little bit of SEO like keyword density, title key word, key word in the first and last paragraph.

My problem is that i want to write NATURAL articles. Will this attitude work?

"Traffic is the main power and I want to do get traffic from facebook or forums."

I think you understand my question. Please SUGGEST me.

Before spending money, do keyword research to find relevant keywords and potential traffic to each of them and then you can either create your own product or find a suitable affiliate offer.

I am assuming here that you are aiming for an authority type site. If that is the case:

You may want to pay some attention to keywords, but your first duty is to write the best articles you can. If you stuff your content with keywords in order to please Google and write unreadable drivel, you will never build a following.

    No need for technical knowledge.

If you want to stick with Clickbank, look at:

    Marketplace - ClickBank

and see what products fit you the best there.

    Then, search for:

    https://www.google.com/search?q=foot...iliate+program

and see if any of those products intrigue you enough to add as well.

    Very simple, good luck!

It's not essential but learning things like how to cloak a link and a basic re-direct are going to help you at some point.

Basic wordpress knowledge is always good as is learning how to use a ftp program.

I mean you don't need to know how to do this but it will help.

    I would say yes actually.

You need ideally to be in a position where you can split-test on the fly. This means taking out all the other variables until you are left with one and finding it's most effective strategy.

If you have a developer you are paying, it's going to cost some money, but more importantly, it's going to cost a lot of time.

I'd say that if you knew enough to be able to split-test everything yourself then that's the time to go for it.

I'm a big advocate of it and I don't think enough people do it effectively enough.

Frankly, I think there should be a lot more split-testing WSO than there are. There's an idea for you.

So far,i don't have any technical knowledge and my blog is still running well and all of my designs and functionality are based on wordpress plugins.

For blogging, you don't need to have technical knowledge since wordpress are getting so flexible. Also, don't hurry to promote products to your list if you are doing list building. I have seen many people trying to promote many things at one go and I don't encourage this method. Not only you will gradually lose your subscribers, you will not be motivated to carry things out when you see your list are decreasing throughout the days.Take time to build your credibility and trust with your list and provide information to your list.

You can send some offers but not every follow up message only if you have tried it or highly recommended by other internet marketers.

To conclude,i think that as long as your design of your web is presentable enough(don't have to be that fanciful),focus on writing quality and interesting content:p

Absolutely there is no need to learn technical and headache for affiliate marketing.

Just Search in affiliate sites such as clickbank, CJ, sharelinks, paydotcom and others for products that are related to football.

Create high quality content articles or posts for the keywords that you want to target, begin with long tail keywords that have less competitions to test the ranking of your website then after that focus in high volume keywords that getting much volume of competition.

It's not all essential, but it will help with some aspects of it. Basic knowledge of web design, hosting etc will help you a lot but yet again, it's not required.

I'd learn a few technical things to help me out if I didn't know a lot about it all. It can help you with numerous things, and can save you a hell of a lot of money, saving you having to hire freelancers to install your site, SEO you site, or fix some problem thats went wrong with your database.

Yes you need technical knowledge. After all this is Internet Marketing, but you do not need to be Ph D in PHP C++ and sql. Just basic professional user level required.

Also keyword research IN NOT technical aspect of AM. This has everything to do with your marketing plan. Writing natural articles is very very good but in high competition serp's you will need an understanding of SEO back-linking.

It isn't hard. You sound confused. You should check out Clickbank and Paydotcom to see how they both operate, and you should also checkout the Clickbank Success Forum for tips on how to have success with Clickbank and affiliate marketing.

You need to get the right balance between writing naturally and optimising it for the search engines.

Start with keyword research, and then write your articles based of carefully researched keywords. I highly recommend the plugin SEOPressor, as it tells you exactly what you need to do to make your articles rank highly.

You don't need to stuff keywords everywhere in your content, as it really doesn't make much difference now with the Google Panda Update.

    >Is technnical knowledge essential for affiliate marketing?

An interesting question... I used to think definitely yes. I have a technical background & thought I could put that to good use in Internet marketing.

However, as time has gone on I think technical knowledge as such is a hindrance rather than an asset. I'll always get involved in the technical stuff spending much too long 'doing what I enjoy' rather than earning a crust.

I think you probably need to be technically capable - by that I mean if there is an issue you can read a help file or think logically about a problem, but I don't think you need great technical knowledge.

Do keyword research for football, find out if there are enough people searching for that topic, if so, start a blog about football and post every day; make it interesting so poeple want to come back.

Once you have a following you can then place links to relevant products from clickbank into your post, if they buy you will earn a commission.

You may not need much technical knowledge. There are several situations where you can work and earn big without having to do any technical stuff. Have you considered working as a contractor on websites like oDesk and freelance?

I wouldn't call it technical knowledge. To me it is more about developing affiliate marketing skills. I started out in affiliate marketing years ago because of how easy it was to get started.

I quickly figured out there was a lot to learn about how to do affiliate marketing correctly. Becoming skillful is an ongoing process really. The good news is if a dummy like me can do it so can you!

No, you don't need to be technically knowledgeable. As long as you know what you want done, you can outsource that task to an expert and they will be able to provide that for you.
