Is technnical knowledge essential for affiliate marketing?

I want to do affiliate marketing but I am confused about the KEY WORD. All I want is write about Football (Soccer). Could anyone let me know what are the factors I need to take care of?

I know a little bit about CPC like high CPC is good but they have tough competition.

Also know a little bit of SEO like keyword density, title key word, key word in the first and last paragraph.

My problem is that i want to write NATURAL articles. Will this attitude work?

"Traffic is the main power and I want to do get traffic from facebook or forums."

I think you understand my question. Please SUGGEST me.

Have you researched if there are any soccer related affiliate offers to promote? I've just checked Offervault and there isn't much, a few ringtones and that's about it.

If you are determined to enter this niche, you might be better creating your own product.

Well, either that or you need to create a soccer/football related spin on another related product... For example you could possibly put a "get in shape for football" spin on a fitness product, or you could put a "watch football for free online" spin on an Internet TV offer, which I believe is available on CB.

Don't be afraid to get creative... If you need some ideas, check out a couple of your favorite soccer/football magazines and see what's being advertised in there. Worst comes to worst there's always physical products on Amazon.

natural writing is great and a slong as you write on something you love and know it will work out fine for you and you will get organic traffic, still, you will need to know some seo basics which you can find free on the web, other than that you can outsource most of the technnical stuff,a great place to do that is fiverr.com.

If you want to write about Football, just begin. Natural articles are better than some crapy ones. It sounds like you want to do this because you like soccer, right? If so, don't care about CPC and don't care about the competition.

If you put enough effort into it and you provide value, you can run a business from it (sure it's not going to happen tomorrow).

And your questions "Is technnical knowledge essential for affiliate marketing?" Hmm... I think the technical knowledge is essential, because it will save you a lot of time in the future. If you don't know how to set up a blog or a website, you can't do it and when outsourcing you don't know what to ask.

Facebook and forums is good source of traffic. It's a good start and after some time you will see traffic coming from search engines as well. Just write good articles and share it all over the internet.

I love football and actually thought about entering that niche at one point, but in all honestly you will find it very hard to find products in that niche and especially since you're trying to do affiliate marketing and not product creation, it will be even more difficult.

Just remember, you don't have to be head over heels in love with a niche if you're pursuing it, but you should have somewhat of an interest in it.

PS - if you like sports in general, you could try to go in the direction of injury prevention, personal hygiene, care, etc etc.

    Good luck

... unless football betting takes your fancy: there are plenty of those. (Some may have a bit of a refund-rate).
