How can I set up an affiliate program?

I'm trying to think of more ways to get traffic into the drug rehab that I work at. I'm doing SEO, but that takes a bit of time and is not doing so hot right now. I was thinking that an affiliate program might work very well.

Each potential client is worth $10,000+ to us. I'm sure that we could pay a pretty penny for each qualified lead. I feel like it would be a great thing to have many more people pushing our business than just me.

Any pointers on where to start?

You're right....affiliates could help you drive more traffic to your business if you're offering them a good incentive.

There's lots of Affiliate and CPA Networks online where you could immediately get some affiliates (although you'll still need to do your own job of recruiting affiliates as well)...just Google the 'top affiliate networks' to find a few and then do your research to see which one would be the best option for your business.

e-Junkie is nice - I use them. Simple affiliate program that you can "bend" in any way you wish to fit your needs. It costs me $5/month but includes whatever else you need - shopping cart, discounts, lots of other cool stuff.

If you want to run your own in house aff program Infusiosoft is great for that. They are quite pricy but provide a lot of great brick and mortar business features.

I once heard good things about PaySpree.com.

You can list your product in your marketplace and then all your affiliates can sign-up with them and then promote your product. All payments are taken care of by them. And they are being sent through paypal.

    Worth trying.

You could also try doing joint ventures with other people who are big in the industry, at least online, with a large following.

Setting up an affiliate program for a service (like a drug rehab program) is going to be difficult as most of the ones online are designed for products.

Your best bet, IMHO, would be to pay for referrals which is not the same thing as an affiliate program.
