I was thinking back about my start in the IM world. I was flat broke and in some serious debt. When I started learning more and more about the various ways to create income online, I quickly realized that if I had some extra money to invest, I can get some results a little bit faster. Now, don't get me wrong here. There are many ways to develop business for nearly nothing, but having some capital to put forth can definitely help you reach goals quicker. I wanted to share just one little thing that I personally did that allowed me around $300 a month of extra money to invest in my online marketing efforts. Here it is...you ready...? ELIMINATE FRIVOLOUS SPENDING!! When I sat down and actually took a look at where my money was going each month, I was AMAZED at how much of it was completely useless and could be avoided and put to better use. Here are some examples... -Starbucks Coffee -That candy bar, chips and soda when you stop at the gas station -That new DVD that you have been waiting for -That gym membership that I never used :-) -That new music CD that just came out -The newest high-tech cell phone that I just can't live without (yes, this was a trap of mine - I am a big techie!) -Eating out at restaurants when I could have eaten at home. The food at home has already been paid for! And, a cheeseburger at home doesn't cost $9.99 -Computer games and other time-wasters -Cable or satellite TV. I found that TV did nothing but waste my productive time, and it took about $40 out of my bank account every month. Would you be willing to sacrifice a little TV time in order to achieve financial freedom? Watch TV when you are young, wealthy and FREE!!! -How about that bag of donuts that you just have to get on your way to work? Feel free to add to this list of things that you have found suck your wallet dry little by little. Hope this has helped some... To your success, Stephen Henderson |

I definitely agree with this. An extra 100$ a month could probably be wrung out of all those bills. For me, that is 20 articles freelanced, a new home study course, a great ebook (with stuff I can use), or some new software. It's about the little things which make business easier so you can constantly focus on the bigger picture. Create offers Market to your list Build a bigger list Take care of odds and ends Extra money will allow you to be more productive in these 4 areas. This is critical. Great post Stephen, Brad Spencer |

Yes, I felt very guilty about that, I am also a victim of splurging money to fast. that is really a great advice, each one of us can live a simple life. Extravagant life is not quite impressive when we can't maintain them in the long run.

How about adding to your list every latest and greatest shiny new must have product that comes along. That is what created the largest drain on my wallet when I first started. I still have to remind myself sometimes about it, I am an info junkie |
