Is there any value in EzineArticles No Follow Links?

I'm coming up to 200 articles now on EzineArticles, but was quite surprised to discover my anchor text links have become no follow. They were not 'no follow' when I submitted them so I assume the 'no follow' text was inserted by EzineArticles.

Is there any value in the anchor text links being 'no follow' even if the articles are syndicated?

    No one knows for sure.
I don't really care if the links are no-follow or not, I use a bit of both.

Get a mix of both, it's not normal a website only have do-follow links anyway.

However.... is ezinearticles authorbox no-follow links? They used to be normal (dofollow) links, right?

I think that there is some value in a no follow anchor text link as there will be a small percentage of visitors who will click your anchor link after reading your article.

Well.. though they are no follow they still serve the primary purpose of links - to link to another resource. I think they are better used where you expect visitors would be interested in clicking through to know more. EzineArticles automatically purses all links in the body as no follow.

The resource box for author information allows up to three do follow links for SEO purposes, but only 2 of the 3 are allowed for your personal website.

It's okay if your links are no-follow there. If you used those links to point to an even more detailed explanation of a part of your article, then some readers might be interested to click those links. Besides, if you only have followed links pointing to your site -- as in all of them are followed links -- there's going to be a chance that your rank's going to decrease. Having a good mix of both followed and no-follow links makes things look more natural.

Mark could you explain this a bit? I am curious as to how no follow links are beneficial...

No-follow links make your backlinks more natural. A lot of people suggest both no-follow and do-follow.

Honestly though, backlinks from EZA aren't doing much of anything for backlink juice. They are PR0 non-contextual links. (EZA may have pagerank, but your articles do not when you post them.)

The benefit you get from posting on EZA is the chance of your articles being syndicated to blogs that DO have pagerank. Of course, you need to write interesting and high quality articles or no one will want to use them.
