Need some help / guidance

Hello everyone, in my last thread I got many replies from you people and it's awsome. I also got few different questions, so I decided to create this thread to ask a questiond and add more details. So the point is, that I would like to start a serious online business.

So far I have made few fiverr sales (I think about 3 or so), got few leads for CPA offers (not enough even for minimum payout ), got some sales from offering services ( sometimes I do them, somethimes I outsource for cheaper and keep the profit (in case I cant provide the service)), I do know quite some things about IM, I just can't decide what to start and where to move.

What I like:
- Playing games (PC games)
- I somehow like outsourcing (buy cheap sell high)
- Really can't think of any atm, but if I do I'll add here

1 thing I was thinking about is to sell PLR stuff like graphics, software, etc. but it's so much of that available for free on the internet, I'm not really sure about this one.

Any help is highly appreciated!

  • I would suggest that you do your market research. You could offer your stuff through already existing sites.

What services have you been providing? Are you a programmer? Graphics designer?

Lets us know a bit more about the services you can provide.

Well what I did myself is some graphics design and website creation, what I outsourced is pretty much content writing.

Also I really like games, any advice on that? I really can't find low competition keywords on that.

Depending on your skills as a graphics designer and website creator you can make a serious income with that talent.

I would find some individuals that you maybe create a mini-site for free for a testimonial. of course not just anybody, someone with a good reputation. I have made tens of thousands of dollars selling mini-sites and sales funnels. Then you can end up finding good outsouring individuals to take over that operation while you build your business or playing games as you stated you like doing.

I know someone personally that did EXACTLY what we are discussing.

This is true. In my past years I generated some nice revenue creating websites for others. Finding clients is not as hard as you think it is. Yes there is some competition etc etc but once you develop a relationship with various people, mostly in your local neighborhood, then word spreads fast. I have even went on the lookout before for low quality made websites, shot an email over to the person who runs it (you want to find the guys who are running the site themselves), ..but shoot them an email and usually they'll respond if your email is somewhat personal and helpful. I have never had issues picking up clients this way.

Thats a good idea, but a very competetive niche.

I would suggest a different focus. Your should concentrate on your potential customers. You want to build a a business and develop a service? Well, in order to be successful you need to solve a need that your customers have. Perhaps pick up a book on product development or marketing? Otherwise just look it up on wikipedia and start googling. If you think of gamers, what do they need? what kind of service can you provide? Is there a niche market out there waiting to be filled by your site?

Perhaps a "I will play starcraft2 with you for 5 dollars" on fiverr, where you help them get some difficult achievement. You can find a really good Korean player that you pay 3 bucks and they will kick ass. No idea, just an example. I say Korean because they are rumored to be the best, not because I'm racist btw.

Anyway, what i am trying to say is that its not as much about your skills and talents as about what your customers want. Then of course you should have the skills necessary to make it happen (or learn fast).

I don't believe in blind outsourcing, you need to know your business. Learn fast and make sure you understand how things work in the beginning. Learning by doing

Well, if you like graphic design that is certainly a marketable service that you can provide; there is a lot of competition, yes, but that's because there is a LOT of demand.

But going off of your list, if you like PC gaming that is certainly a passionate niche of people to be marketing to, and there's no reason you couldn't use that body to make some money even by running a simple website or forum. Again, yes it's a competitive niche, but there is a lot of market share to go around and almost all of the buyers are hobbyists.

As for outsourcing, really you can incorporate that said just about any business model if you're willing to take the time to train people. Just because you're not selling a service doesn't mean you're not making a return… In fact if you're NOT making a return you're doing something wrong. You should always strive to buy low and sell high when it comes to outsourcing ROI.

It is competitive but you have many options too,.... Fiverr, odesk, elance and so many.... Grab projects directly and outsource them
