Favorite WordPress plug ins for IM and/or sales building?

I'm just getting started with WordPress, and wondering what plug ins make the job of Internet Marketing, SEO, etc... easier and more profitable.

What are the reliable, solid, & popular plug ins?

Recommendations?

    All in One SEO Pack, Google Analytics for WordPress, Google XML Sitemaps, BackUpWordPress are a few of the important ones.

      Totally agree with James' list - plus a few more useful ones (all free) could be:
      Sociable or SexyBookmarks (for social bookmarking)
      WPTotalCache / WPSuperCahce or similar caching plugin (to speed up site loading times and reduce server load)
      ContactForm7 (super simple Contact Us form)
      ExcludePages (good for hiding pages from your navigation - e.g. for thank you or download pages - although some themes will do this via their control panel)

      and don't forget to actually activate and use Akismet (included in the installation) to secure your posts.

    Try to use as less plugins as possible. This will help you to keep your blog fast. Remember: Google doesn't like slow websites!

    I'd be doing myself a disservice by NOT mentioning my new plugin - wp-seoagency. Basically turns wordpress into an seo management platform to handle job management, keyword tracking for all of your sites (and you client sites) and allows for proxy integration too. Basically, this plugin has been invaluable to me because I've got a ton of clients that I need to track keyword movement for, as well manage a bunch of tasks that go along with my services. I can use wordpress now to act as that platform. See sig for more info as it's currently running as an WSO before release.
