Hi all
Just wondered if anyone could help with something.

I'm considering trying out offering a $1 trial period of 3 days for my online piano/keyboard course. Sales are going quite well but I think that if people tried a lesson for $1 first they'll be more open to continue with the full course for $34.95.

The flow would be that they pay the $1 and get complete 1 lesson then after 3 days if they don't cancel then the rest of the cost ($33.95) is taken.

You/I have seen similar things around I'm sure.

So here's my problem:

I need to work out a way to deliver this. Taking the initial $1 and directing them to lesson 1 is easy.

Automating stage 2 is proving to be a dilemma.

I need to work out a system that sends them a second link to the full course immediately after the balance amount is taken.

I've spoken to Clickbank and they say that they cannot do it through their system but are happy for me to go ahead with the offer. I can set up everything else through them, just not the delivery (it's a download page BTW)

Clickbank have intimated that there is possibly a system available but they would not be seen to promote a specific product to handle this.

Does anyone know how it's done?

Much appreciated
Shayman

I use the wishlist membership plugin for WordPress and it can do exactly what you want and much more of course.

All you have to do is set 2 different membership levels the first one will be your 1$ trial and when the second payment goes through wishlist will automatically upgrade them to the 2nd level which is the one that has the full course.

This looks quite cool. There are a few things I need to clear up with this with regards to Clickbank.

      1) I need to make sure that any affiliate hop gets credited with the final sale
      2) Try as I might I cannot see how this will be able to integrate. I'm sure it does and I don't care how, but looks too good to be true.

If anyone can elaborate a little more I'd appreciate it but I'm also going to try and contact Wishlist Support.

How about using a membership site option. When they take the trial option, they get drip fed the first lesson. If they upgrade, then you elevate them to the next level of membership, which then drip feeds them the balance of the lessons.

It takes a bit of setting up but you could use S2Member( WP membership plugin - free) to do this. You could set up the second payment option in the plugin itself without going through Clickbank. Save yourself some fees. It works directly with Paypal.
Thanks Diana but as I've already begun to build a list of affiliates I think it would be unfair now to shift from Clickbank...plus I think CB is the way to go with my product.

Have also considered your idea of drip feeding too

Just try out, if sales are already great it couldn't bother giving some of the potential customers a peek first.
Yes it's worth giving it a try. It may work better, it may work worse but no harm in trying it out.

      Many thanks

Dude, if an affiliate makes a sale with a clickbank hop link when the rebill kicks in he will automatically get the commission.

Yes Wishlist and click-bank are the system you need to set this up. I have somthing similar as well and it works like clock work.

That's not correct actually, you just need to ask them and they will lower that to $1.

    Hey there Shayman,

This issues sounds pretty close to something I experienced not to long ago.

I've see that Wishlist was suggested. I've never used Wishlist, but what I have used that can do everything you're looking for is Digital Access Pass. It's another "membership site" plugin and it works wonderfully for me.

D.A.P. integrates with Clickbank in a very straightforward way, and still gives your affiliates commission for recurring payments, just like you're looking for. You can also protect pages until your individual uder's membership account reaches a particular age (ie: day 3 or 4), at which point they can then access that particular page.

    Best of luck out there!

    Cheers,
    -Adrian

Yep! It's still at $4.95, check today!
If you want a $1 trail just ask CB and they will do it for you...I had a product approved with a $1 trial a couple of days ago.
