Default Cloaking Links when sending broadcast from Aweber

Can anyone tell me how i should go about getting rid of those ugly long links that appear when i send a broadcast from Aweber? When i set up the broadcast, send out a test message to make sure the links work, they all look great, but as soon as i send the final broadcast they turn into that random mess!
All help greatly appreciated, cheers!

You get those "long horrible links" only becuase you have click tracking turned on.

If you turn it off, then the normal URL is shown, but you won't be able to get the number of times your links where clicked on..

Hope this helps

Thanks Bruce. Is there any other tracking I can use, any software that will tell me if the message has been read and link clicked?
I find the tracking very useful, i am currently experimenting with different subject headings to see what gets the best results so i can't really do without it.

Paul,

Your best solution would be to use the email web analytics features so you can use your own domain name for all click tracking links instead of clicks.aweber.com. The other option as described would be to turn off click tracking, but obviously you give up a lot of statistics when you do that.

one option I am experimenting with is to turn off aweber link tracking and code every link to be tracked by Google Analytics (which I have on my sites), and the put the long convoluted tracking link into tinyurl, to keep it small.

You can find Google's URL Builder tool here:

Tool: URL Builder - Analytics Help

Tinyurl is (obviously) here:

TinyURL.com - shorten that long URL into a Tiny URL

It's slightly longer winded but it works, and allows me to also track links from offline sources (direct mail, etc) by using a tinyurl link.

Obviously, this does NOT integrate with aweber's stats, but otherwise its a winner.

Hope this helps.
