Default Question about selling a site on sitepoint...

Hey Warriors,

I'm about to sell one of my sites on sitepoint. I'm wondering if any of you have experience with this. There's an option-- for extra cost of course-- to be featured in their market watch newsletter. Would you know if it's worth it or not?

Any other insights you have into selling sites would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a lot!
Andrew

I've tried several of the listing enhancements and not found them to make much of a difference, especially relative to a concise but engaging sales copy, headline that gets people to click without being obnoxious, etc. Also be sure that your trust level is at 100% by verifying your phone number and control of the site you are selling (both free and take all of 2 minutes between them.)

I do go for the search engine block option from time to time, if I don't want the sale thread showing up in Google, but aside from that most of the premium 'attention getters' just aren't producing any results for me.

I was surprised by the amount of traffic I had to a site I advertised on there (I paid to have it listed as a premium listing, but that was the only upgrade) but as far as serious buyers, a bit disappointed there.
