Find some good keywords related to your website. Make sure that you can compete with those keywords but still bring in a good amount of monthly searches. Once you know the keywords, start an SEO campaign. Either build your own links or use one of many backlinking/article submission services.

  • The best and easiest way to drive traffic even if a person is not internet savvy is by doing JV deals with offline business.

I make deal with offline business for them to refer their customer to my website and build a list.

    1. Why would a business (You need to make a special offer where the business will benefit)
    2. You need to give something of FREE away to those who opt in
    3. At the place of business there is marketing that drives traffic to your site (I use website, per-recorded presentation, & QR codes for this)

    Hey Kelly,

Fitness is an insanely competitive niche, so I wouldn't advise trying to rank for fitness-related keywords... It will take you a lot of money and time to rank them. Faster strategies that are affordable would be to head over to the top fitness forums and become and active member (obviously with a link in your signature to the website).

You might have some success by making youtube videos as well - especially if you can make them yourself and your personality can shine through. I've had quite a bit of success with this technique on youtube.

Buying solo ads to drive traffic to your site is also very powerful, but I don't see an opt-in form on your site, so unless you're going to be list-building (which you should) this strategy won't be as powerful for your business... Seriously, you can make a fortune with a responsive list in your niche!

I'm sure you probably have a Facebook fan page, but if not then you can do very well with an informative fan page that works to drive people to your site for more information. Facebook ads would also work well for your niche.

Thats a look at a few of the easier ways to generate fast traffic, hope it helps!

If you want to make money, I'd stop using $5 dollar articles that don't make sense.

Also, it's a bit muddled. You'll find the people who want to do push ups won't do bench press, and visa versa. The people who want to build muscle don't want to learn yoga. You have 2 chest exercises in the nav bar, but no other muscle group.

I'd try to work out a decent plan before you think about traffic. If your site is well thought out and has good articles your traffic would improve.

Personally, I wouldn't send someone to that site if you paid me $10 per person. I'm guessing if other people feel this way social media would be a bad traffic source.

This is just to help you make money. Nothing personal, although I've bashed your site quite a lot.

I am sure this was meant with the best intentions but I personally dont agree.

I have sites in this niche and to say it is too tough for SEO is not entirely true, you just need to do good keyword research and work on your on and off page SEO, with that said the other options would work.

How are you monetizing your traffic?

When you stop chasing money and start helping people, the money comes in a whole lot easier.

What are YOU going to do to help people? Fitness plans? Diet plans? Both?

I am reffering back to the origanal post "my main purpose is making money."

I'll give it my quick 1, 2 Punch:

    - Use keywords in your blog. Have you checked number of global monthly searches? Have you checked competition?

    - Blog daily (or on a regular basis, such as once / 3 days) - drip feed it

    Kelly,
You'll need a lot of time and/or money to get a lot of traffic in that niche. It's so competitive you've got companies spending 10's of thousands to drive traffic to their fitness site.
Not saying you can't compete just it's not going to be easy especially if you are new to IM.

Make sure you have your marketing funnel set up right. When people come to your site through SEO, what do you want them to do?

By having a free offer to give them, they can sign up to your list, get your free offer, and then (in your free offer & through your newsletter) you sell to them.

When I visited your blog, I just see the blog posts. Try setting up a sign up with free offer on your site where you can see it without scrolling down the page for starters.

If you need a service to use for the signup, try MailChimp, Get Response or Mad Mimi. They're free to use when you're starting out with a little or no list.

Their are some large fitness forums out their. I recommend going to bigboards.com I think theirs a fitness forum top 30 or something. (That site lists all the largest forums...). Anyway, go their find one and talk in your niche. To be honest their is a significantly higher chance that someone their will CT on your sig link then on the warrior forum. That is my 3.4 cents!
