How do you get testimonials on linked in?

I'm connected to some former clients on linked in. I would like to get a testimonial from them because I know they were happy with my work (they told me that at the time) but when I asked them for one, they never contacted me back.

Since I do most of writing as ghostwriting, (and that yields very few testimonials,) The handful of clients I have that wouldn't mind me using their names are very important to me. (Most of the testimonials I have are from outsourcing sites and people don't use real names on there.)

How do I get these testimonials without harassing them?

    How you doing? Not sure about testimonials but I'd put in a recommendation for each client you worked with. In many cases they'll response with one for your business.

    I've never had any difficulty with this. I would suggest you write truthful recommendations to others. If they know you and have worked with you or even know about your work, most will reciprocate and write recommendations back.

    Some times though, the person who is not very active on LinkedIn is just ignoring their emails.

    So ask them in a phone call, in person or send them an email. Much more likely to respond to you. (of course, if you just recommend them first will probably help too)
