Hi Everyone

Looking at doing some research but it has been a while and need to know what is the best resource to use for the following and wondering if someone can point me in the right direction.

Which sites or companies are the best to use to determine how much traffic a website is getting-meaning like alexa rating.

I need to determine with many sites how much traffic they are getting.

Where do I go to get this information (sites or companies?)

If anyone could help, that would be good.

You can go to google analytics and put their code on your site. It will then track everything as far as traffic, where it came from and what keywords were used to find it. And it's free.

  Another good one (without the conversion analytics) is StatCounter. They have a free and a paid version.

  Like all services that track traffic to your site, you just need to pop a bit of their code into your web pages.

  For determining the traffic for other sites, I'd recommend Quantcast. They seem to be pretty reliable.
  
  For determining the traffic to your own site, I like to use a combination of StatCounter, and awstats.
