The War Room has TONS (many) free reports, guides, WSOs about getting free traffic. I have collected quite a bit of good stuff from the War Room regarding "free" traffic.

Based on what I have tested, with free traffic you probably won't get as many people to your salespage as you will with paid traffic, but if you're just starting out and can't afford to spend money on advertising then these methods will definitely help you get started.

1. Forums - Post quality and relevant posts related to your niche.
2. Youtube - I believe Youtube needs no introduction.
3. Adswaps - You can only use ad swaps if you've already got a list, so if you're just building yours this method will not be very helpful now.

Write articles, find keywords that you can easily rank your website pages for, build targeted backlinks to your website, do blogging, forum marketing, start your own affiliate program at Clickbank, and even do joint ventures. All of these (except Clickbank) is free, and awesome strategies.

Go to google and search for bum marketing, great way to start out free. Article marketing is a great way to get free traffic if you can write quality articles that people find helpful and useful.

I've not tried this but I'm listening to a podcast on a niche subject right now... that's potentially free traffic if you're the expert in your niche.

If you are a beginner, blog commenting works very well. It is easy and quick to do and you can choose the blogs wich are related to your niche. This gives very accurate backlinks.

I do it with SEO. Ok, technically it's not 100% free because I use a link building service, but as far as targeted quality traffic goes, it's pretty decent.

Like other has mentioned, forums and articles are great for this. I use yahoo answers too you can find good traffic if you show knowledge in your answers.

For the majority of my traffic, I use SEO. Although it isn't free anymore, it was in the beginning when I only had a couple of sites. Backlinking for only a couple sites takes a lot less time than it does for more, so I started outsourcing and purchased some software to help with automation.
