promoting a press release site

I help manage a press release service which is picked up by Google news. We only approve 'real' releases so to be able to stay in GNews. My question is about further gaining exposure. We provide feeds for our releases but looking for other ways we could legitimately (nonspam) use methods to gain more releases and exposure for these news items. I would rather stay away from senuke, xrumer, etc as these are paying customers. Any suggestions?

Our feeds are grabbed by the thousands but we are looking for our name to get out there more and more views of the releases.

    Some press release sites are free and others require payment.

    Especially to get the ball rolling, you might offer the releases for free, including links, but insist on "payment" in the form of a backlink from the writer's site to your press release site. Just a thought.
