The importance of personality in marketing.

In my business, I see clients come and go everyday. Some clients come to me because their websites aren't converting well. There is one thing I notice about these clients time and time again:

They don't include enough personality in their websites.

Make no mistake. If you want to sell information products and be seen as an expert in your niche, you need to make your name, your image, and your brand part of the marketing. Sure, there are plenty of companies that make money without doing this, but most of them are supplying technology or other tools rather than information.

Studies have repeatedly shown that including yourself in your marketing works. So how can you do this?

Here are five ways, off the top of my head:

1. Include a large picture of yourself in your website's main background image.

2. Include your name in your business' name (e.g. instead of "blogging bonanza," go with "benny benson's blogging bonanza.")

3. Include a small picture of yourself (along with your name) at the start of every sales letter you create.

4. Use a lot of marketing videos that include footage of you talking.

5. Include a lot of personal stories and anecdotes on your website and in your e-mail copy.

Anyway, if you're having trouble with conversions, try out these four tips. I can guarantee they will make things a little easier for you.
