Is Promoting Vendors' Free e-mail Course OK?

Hi all,

How do you think if I promoted Clickbank vendors' free e-course? The cookies will be stored right? So if these potential customers purchase at a later date, I will get my commission right?

I know some people will say to offer something that I have that is relevant to get them to purchase through my link. But I'm not ready for this yet. This is a whole other game. I just want to get as many clicks as possible to my affiliate link so that the cookies will be stored.

Is this an ok plan for beginner affiliate marketers? Any advice is much appreciated.

    Nope. If some other affiliate send promotional email & the user click on his link means he will be credited for that sale. Many promoters will patch their id in cookies whenever the user clicks on that link. So at the time of purchasing that product, obviously the affiliate id in the cookies at that time will get commission.

    Keep on sending free lessons or report & make the users to click on your affiliate link every time.

      hi jassim,

      can you explain further? What I'm doing right now is pitching the vendors' free e-mail course in my author resource box. One anchor text will say free e-course and linked to my affiliate link. the other link will go to the vendor's site through a re-direct domain that i've purchased.

      i'm not offering anything of my own as i don't have anything to offer. i don't quite understand your explanation. please explain further.

    So long as they don't go through another affiliate link after they've gone through yours then you will get the commission (if it's within the time period the cookie is set for).

    In short: it should work fine, try checking the process by following your own link.

    Hi Lydia -
    Most often you will not get credit for the purchase at a later date by promoting the free email course.

    I say "most often" because if the buyer goes back and subsequently purchases the course and you were the last affiliate link they entered through then you get credit. If however, the buyer had come to the same site through another affiliates link, then the other affiliate gets the credit.

    So technically yes, the cookie is stored but only if the buyer didn't visit that same site through another affiliate's link.

    Usually if a marketer does have the course set up to pass along your affiliate link they will make reference to it in their affiliate area.

    This is one of the reasons why I personally don't like to promote affiliate sites who have an immediate opt-in on their page.

    When the seller follows up your tracking links should be inserted in every email in the E mail course. If the recipient clicks on it and buys the product directly from this email you should get a commission.

    Check with the vendor to make sure your affiliate link is included in the follow up. If you sign up to a course from your own affiliate advert you can check if your link is included in your course.
