How to deal with content thieves?

Hi Warriors,

One of my products was shared all over the internet. I didn't know it until I get an email from a friend. Is there any way to deal with it?

Best Regards,

Marc

Other than sending C&D notices and possibly hiring a lawyer there's not much you can do.

I do have experience of this though and I think it's time wasted. If your product is getting shared, and people are reading it then that's a good thing, use it as free advertising and something you can do is make a couple of pages on your website called something like url.com/product/download and similar, then when someone searches for it, given your site's authority (since it's your product) they should see your site up near the top of the results. Make sure to write out your title tag which should also include the search term, then in the content, write something like if you download *product* it won't work without this. In the rest of the content, don't write the word download.

This ensures your message gets sent out on the actual search result on Google.

Then whip together a package of products, yours and anything else really.

Hopefully you might then save a few sales.

I was afraid that there is not much for to do. Your idea to use product as a free advertising is great. I like it.

      Thank you,

      Marc

Yes DMCA is the way to go and for next time try to set up a Google Alert with your product name so that you can instantly get an email whenever your content is shared.

Outside of a Cease and Desist letter there's not much you can do. Thieves can steal your content; they cannot steal your brain.

Move on before you waste too much valuable time.

Remember, at the end of the day, if some one is indeed sharing your product, its a free advertising and U will gain reputation between them and some of the honest marketers might actually pay for your quality product next time, if the product they shared was a quality product in the first place. not a rehashed stuff!!

    Hope U remember me ;-)

I think we can see in negative and positive side of content sharing.... you can be recognized of being guru in your niche because your content reach more people, but you can choose to have hurt feelings because your hardwork is just stolen in just seconds across the internet.

It's up to you to choose which reaction.. but I think , people who have made enough from their digital content, they'll just be fine with content sharing because they've made enough... THey prefer to enjoy their life and earning.. because they've made enough and will be still making enough in the future...

let me know what you think
