INFO OVERLOAD.... NEWBIE NEEDS HELP...CPA, OFFLINE, LIST BUILDING, AND NICHE SITES OH MY!!!

....

Too much information......too many products.....too many promises.....can't process.....can't choose..... Can't decide...please help to prevent complete system overload and/or pulling out of hair.

Although, I have just decided to stop playing around and join WF, I have been an unofficial member for a couple years. Purchasing products here and there, and not doing much of anything with them. However, I have recently gotten VERY serious about making full-time income with IM marketing. And as a result, I have been going through hours of WF posts trying to find the best starting place.

The information is great but it's ALL a little too much to digest... so I would like to stop...and make an official plea to the WF family for help and guidance prior to my quest ending before it starts, from lack of knowing where to start.

I have an idea for a pretty good authority site (that I am very excited about
) but, gather that those take time to build up and I will have to wait for a good ROI. The authority site will be a labor of love for me something that I am really interested in. However, I would still like to (while working on my authority site) be able to accomplish my original goal of making at least $50 - $70 a day within the next 2-3 months.

Back to the current problem, (that I am sure most newbie's have) I don't have a clear picture of where to begin. So my questions are the following;

  1. Is my goal of $50-70 a day (using any method) in a couple of months a reasonable one?
  2. Which of the methods (niche sites, CPA, list or offline) should I start with which will allow me to reach this goal?
  3. Where would l find the best no BS training or mentor that would put me on the right track from the very start? I have no desire to hop from one WSO to another without any upward progression. I would like to start out in the best place and end up in an even better one.
  4. What type of budget would I need for the best starting method? I am already aware of some of the basic expenses for site creation.
Things to consider;
  • I don't have anything started right now, so I am a real newbie.
  • I don't have a budget for CPA on a grand scale and would have to start out using free methods (I gathered from different post that a sizable budget is needed for successful CPA, and I am saving for this).
  • I do have a small budget to get a few sites up and running (but again since I really don't have a clear picture of what all my cost would be other than hosting and buying domains...I am guessing my budget would be enough).
  • I am capable and can pay in time what I lack in current funding.
As I stated earlier there is a lot of great information on here but it can also be very overwhelming and in my case is having a paralyzing impact.

What I am looking to accomplish.
No doubt my desires are probably the same as many newbies that come to this site...make money...earn full-time living from IM... and in turn help others if I can.

* But, more than that want to obtain a work for myself lifestyle while I am still young. And In a several years I would like to be able to surprise my super supportive and extremely hardworking mother by being able to help her when she decides to retire.

I have learned enough to be over the whole get rich in a week thing. I now know... that is will take time, consistent action, and focus. Even with my already busy schedule, I am prepared to put in the work. I also know that reading about creating a business is not the same as creating one and I so badly want to get about the business of creating a successful IM business.

What I am looking for is an honest and detailed plan of action that can help me earn at least $ 50 a day, with the potential to be scaled up. I would like to be able to reach this goal in the next 90 days.

As I am truly lost and want out of
IM PURGATORY any and all genuine help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, (SINCERELY) in advance for your time and wisdom.

Another suggestion would be to get a mentor if you don't want
      to spend a lot.
I can suggest John Taylor: Start Your New Business Year With A Bang!
He has helped me a lot I highly recommended him.

Thank you, so much for replying. I was a Chris Farrell member briefly however, I wasn't at a point where I had gotten serious so I didn't utilize the membership. I thought about maybe rejoining but I was also looking at Wealthy Affiliate and Bring The Fresh. I figure I better nail down a good course of action or at least one IM method before deciding which membership community to join.

Another suggestion would be to get a mentor if you don't want
        to spend a lot...
Again thank you for the suggestion and I will look into this as well. And if its not asking too much can you tell me a little more about the specific success you have had with the CF membership and John Taylor coaching

Okay this is what you need to understand about IM

It comes down to 2 things - People & Sales

The whole goal is to acquire people, to view something, which results in a sale. If you can do this profitably you have money.

Some people focus on the people (traffic) some people focus on the sales (marketing)

    Some focus on both.

What I suggest you do is this:

    1. Start a blog, provide free info
    2. Shove as many opt-in forms for your list as possible on the blog
    3. Set up an autoresponder series giving away free content to people with affiliate links at the bottom
    4. Drive traffic to the blog

    Presto!

I like this response, this is exaclty how i got started after making measly dollars here and there.

But I would carefully structure the page to perform the best. There are some guides out there to teach you where to place forms etc for best conversions

I can totally relate to the information overload!

        1. make a decision about what method you are going to use.
        2. make a plan. write it down.
        3. if you don't know enough to implement your plan yet, learn. WF is the BEST resource you will find for just about everything you need to know.
        4. implement your plan.
        5. don't even think about starting something new until you have your first plan up and running.
        6. DON'T GIVE UP!

Blimey. Solid, sensible advice, with no mention of MENTORSHIPS.

          Thanks Kerry!

          Mentors cost money.

Mentors normally expect you to have some prior knowledge, aka 'nous'

The OP does NOT NEED a mentor, he needs to get his chops around some of the key concepts and accepted principles of 'how to make a few quid online'.

In other words, an entry level education.

He can get that here, free of charge.

          Cheers,

This is very good advice and a very simple plan of action that I am sure I would be able to follow. Do you have any suggestions on where I would find the free content to get the opt-ins (this may be a basic question but I really do not have a clue on where to get free offers to give out).
      Thank you,

The key is to find one product that interests you and then STAY FOCUSED!

I know how easy it is to fall into the information overload. 'Been there done that'

I personally wasted literally thousands of hours and many hundreds (ok, Thousands :p) of dollars when I first started online.

If you follow the steps below you will be on your way to a successful long term business.

1). Get an affiliate account at Clickbank and chose a product in a niche that interests you. Make sure that the product has a decent gravity like say a gravity of 50 minimum.

2). Do some in depth keyword research

3). Registered a domain based on one of your most profitable keywords

4). Get hosting for your domain

5). Start by setting up a simple redirect from your domain to the affiliate offer (This works for CPA too!)

6). Write at least five articles of 400 to 500 words and submit them to Ezinearticles. Be sure to focus on one of your most profitable key words for each article (use a keyword density of 1.75% t0 3%) and don't forget to add a resource box and one call to action then link your article to your redirected website.

7). While waiting for your article to be approved start building your website. Use a template and try to create content for at least thirty pages. Focus each page on a profitable key word from your key word research using about the same key word density of not more than 2.5%.

8). Setup an autoresponder account. And follow up email series

9). Create a report or an ebook or whatever that you can offer to your opt-in list
get rid of your redirect and set up your website.

10). Write at lest 3 more articles for article directory submission and get them submitted. Each article should again be focused on a specific key word.

11). TAKE A DAY OFF! Do something that will let you completely forget about your business hoe the entire day!

12). Upload your website and go live. Don't forget to remove your redirect

13). Start setting up you social media network. Wordpress.com, Squidoo.com, Tumbler.com etc. and don't forget Twitter.com & Facebook!
Each site in your network should have a unique key word focused article with a 1 call to action and one link pointing back to you website or your articles or to your web 2.0 accounts. It is ok to spin some of your earlier articles here.

14). Start tweeting at leas 3 times each day and continue to expand your social media network.

15). Start building some backlinks to both your articles and your expanding social media network.

16). use a blog commenting service, there are some good ones here on the Warrior Forums, and post to both dofollow blogs and nofollow blogs. Link back to your articles and to inside pages of your website. Focus on the key words you want to rank for.

The list goes on but these steps will get you started and making some $$$
Once you are earning a few bucks you can start outsourcing some of the more tedious aspects of your business and start investing in some of the more expensive forms of advertising.

This is what has worked for me every time.

Looking forward to hearing about your success!

Thank you sooooo much for the detailed step by step instructions. This is something I feel I can use as an actionable starting place and I will go ahead and set up my Clickbank account. I just have a couple of questions.

2). Do some in depth keyword research

Is there any one method or tool that you suggest for use in doing this? I have seen that a lot of people use MarketSamurai however, I am currently leaning toward The Ultimate Niche finder (loosely based on some of the features I have seen). Then again there is also the Micro Niche Finder, Traffic Travis, SECockpit, and Keyword Elite 2.0 to consider. Yet another area where I am stuck by the different choices, I know I need help with keyword research and would just like to pick a good reliable system or method.

I currently have a Google Adsense account and have started doing a little research there but, (when looking things up )I am still very clueless as to what I really should be focusing on.

8). Setup an autoresponder account. And follow up email series

Is there a particular service you suggest for this as well?
      Your input is greatly appreciated.

I highly recommend investing in a coaching program that guarantees the results you're looking for. They can help you cut through all the BS, hold your hand and show you the most direct path from point A to point B.

    All the best to you!

It's the same in any area of expertise, not just in IM. You need to take it slowly, not all at once. Lean back, read about the different things and get a clear overview of what all of this is. Then you can think about what you'd like to do, or get a mentor, etc. like it has been suggested already.
Just really, don't try to process everything at once, mate.

Taking action is key. I am like you too. But I have decided to build amazon review sites because I feel like theres no way I can fail if I just o the basics.

    1. Choose a popular product on amazon that cost at least $150 and has at least a 4 star rating
    2. Use seo keyword tool to make sure people are searching for this product
    3. Make sure theres quite a few products on amazon that are popular and high priced in this niche
    4. Choose my keywords and write quality reviews around them
    5. Build backlinks and drive traffic to my sites

Within a few months I will see the money

YES! This is the sinkhole that almost ALL newbies fall into.....buying products and NEVER putting what they've learned into ACTION!

    Knowledge + ACTION = Money!

    Simple formula.

So the FIRST thing to do is STOP BUYING stuff! Yes, I know that many of us marketers want you to continue buying (and of course BUY our stuff!) but seriously, if you've bought a lot of IM stuff already, you already have all the knowledge you need to get started. So just get started.

Build that blog/website in whatever niche you think you are knowledgeable in and use the knowledge you bought to make money with it.

Once you get your first check from your efforts, you will feel JAZZED and the successes will start to build upon each other. Take one step at a time and you will soon find yourself in a much better place than where you are now.

It's that FIRST STEP that is the MOST important! Go forth and prosper!
