Hello I would like to make a wordpress blog and host with a free hosting service like 000webhost.

Is there a feature within 000webhost cpanel to create a wordpress blog like a fantastico deluxe button or

Do I have download the wordpress software and create my blog on my pc and then migrate it to the free hosting at 000webhost?

thanks

Near the bottom of your cpanel click on Fantastico and you'll see a link there for Wordpress. From there you're about three clicks away from having WP installed. Check out Youtube for "Installing Wordpress blog from CPanel." Good luck.

thanks travelingguy I see the fantastico button. However it seems that they are upgrading the WP autoinstaller right now and they dont have a date for when they will be finished upgrading. What do you think is a good free domain name for my wordpress blog on 000webhosting? .tk or .co.nr or is it better to use yourdomain.net46.net ?

Can I create my own wordpress blog on wordpress software on my pc and then migrate to 000webhosting?

    thanks

      Eew, that's a nuisance. :p

Another very good very host (perhaps better and more respected than 000WebHost) is Byethost. I know several marketers who've been using it successfully for many years. But they don't have c-panel. They have their own equivalent, but installing Wordpress there still isn't trivial. It can be done, though.

Oh right. I doubt what I was going to say would work for a specific product.

If you set up a Namecheap account, I would have pushed a .com domain to you. One that I don't use anymore and I'm guessing you wouldn't have to pay for it.

But they are all more authority site type names, rather than small niche product review names.

Whats up 568129, wordpress is a hosted solution so there isn't much you can do offline since there is no Wordpress software to my knowledge. Of course you can always line up the content, photos, banners, etc that you plan to use on the blog so you can get it all up an running at once when you are ready to install it.

As far as domains its best to limit the number of dots in there if you plan on getting traffic. The key is to make the domain name memorable and/or keyword rich.

You serious? OFCOURSE there's a wordpress software you can download!! Absolutely free! how do you think so many webhosts offer it as part of their plans? I downloaded it a few days ago actually and installed on my localhost xampp to do some offline tweaking/testing things.

They don't, but you can install Wordpress with the free hosting plan. It's just more difficult.

This site may interest you, then - and you can download the software there, as a few million others have done, if you wish - it's only the world's most popular blogging software: WordPress › Blog Tool, Publishing Platform, and CMS

There are really detailed, step-by-step instructions (somewhere!) on this gentleman's blog for installing Wordpress at Byethost: http://computertactics.com/
