How do you think they get all the FB Fans?

I see a guy on here selling facebook fan pages with hundreds of thousands of fans on some of them. I get the idea, immature titles, amusing pictures, etc...I get how that keeps them active and draws in more auto once the page is big enough but how do you think they get the first 2000 or so from scratch? Short of buying them? I'm guessing they're making regular facebook accounts, probably with female pics and random info and spamming FB groups and individual users, while having their fanpage link on the front of their account?

Some people buy fans, but that's really not a good way to do it. The quality is very low.

The most successful people spend time networking on Facebook to get fans. Or maybe they'll have a give away or some other type of promotion. For example, "Like us on Facebook and get a free sample"

Yeah i'm talking about the fanpages for immature stuff, the ones that explode not really the marketing focus group. When you say spend time networking, you mean going on facebook with ones regular account and messaging people and joining groups?

Exactly. Seek out others that may share an interest in your niche' (the product or service you are promoting). Finding groups where people may share your same interests is also a great way to network too.

I post useful answers on other peoples posts. I also started using twitter to get fans. I don't use an auto DM but when someone follows me and if they do, I simply reply back with follow my FB page. It's working great.

I truly believe that if it happens that quickly that it won't last

I have been wondering about this also. But maybe it is quite similiar to list building, i mean they offer something in return for them pressing like. Just like payment proof said

Just thought of somethings else to build a FB fanbase. Run a contest. Those can explode your FB fans.

For your guys facebook account profile pic, is it of what you're marketing, business logo etc...or do you go pure user, and use your own real pic/some other persons pic? I'm trying to get a feel for how you guys do this because short of making multiple regular facebook accounts, which apparently is against their tos, I don't see how this is scalable like fanpages are, since you can make unlimited of those.

Yeah that would work wonders, a contest and a good prize for the contest winner

Just be careful to run the contest within FB's rules. They will ban your page and then you'll have to start all over again!

Read more here, Facebook. Some are tricky to understand.

I think the fastest way is Fiverr... $5-$10 for 1000 users is still a bargain, and only to look for free methods by googleing around, it will take more than 1 hour (aka = if your hourly rate is $10 you are already on break-even).
